None of FF Resonance’s trophies are currently reported as missable. PowerPyx’s October 21, 2026 trophy roadmap lists zero missable trophies, one minimum playthrough, and no difficulty requirement. After the eight story chapters, the cleared save opens post-story free-roam and airship travel, so you can return for quests, collectibles, optional fights and unfinished counters. The game launched on October 22, 2026, so this conclusion reflects the guides and player reports available on October 30 and could be affected by a future patch or newly documented exception.

Are any FF Resonance trophies or achievements missable?
No. PowerPyx records zero missable trophies and says a single playthrough is enough for the platinum. It also reports that no trophy is tied to a difficulty setting and that there is no New Game Plus requirement.

The practical point is that a missed chest, side story or combat counter is not the same thing as a lost trophy. Once the final chapter is complete, load the cleared-game save and use the world map and airship to revisit content. PowerPyx guide author Darth_Krid states: “Once you’ve finished the story, you can access anywhere on the World Map with the airship.”
The independent FF Resonance Databook achievement list describes the same gameplay objectives. Platform wording and unlock notifications can differ, but the available evidence does not identify a separate permanently missable achievement on another platform.

Can I clean up trophies after the credits?
Yes. The intended completion route is to finish the story first, then use post-clear free-roam for anything left behind. The roadmap’s completion checklist includes the following groups.
Story and party-member objectives
The eight chapter trophies are earned naturally through the main campaign. All eight party members are story recruits, so recruiting a character is not a one-time opportunity. Their optional substories remain available in later chapters and can be completed during cleanup.

Cleanup includes the required Colosseum leagues, all 15 Cave Masters, 26 Visions and nine Espers. These are substantial checklists, but the roadmap does not mark any of them as permanently missable. If an encounter is too difficult when first encountered, leave it until your party is better equipped and leveled.
Weapons and the final optional fight
The completion route also covers Aileen’s weapons for all eight party members and all 12 Legendary Arms. The trophy requirement is obtaining the 12 base Legendary Arms; their later upgraded “+” versions are not required. Ultima Weapon is a post-clear objective: load a save that records the completed story and follow the resulting endgame route to the fight.
Can I return to Grandshelt Castle?
The burning-castle sequence creates the most common missable-item scare, but it has not been shown to make a trophy unobtainable. The completion checklist includes a Black Garb chest in Grandshelt Castle. During the story, the damaged castle can become inaccessible for a period, which led to demo-era claims that the chest was permanently lost.

Post-release players report that the castle becomes accessible again after it is repaired and that the chests can then be collected. Treat that as a player-reported later-access detail rather than an official guarantee for every version. The important distinction is temporarily inaccessible inventory versus a permanently missable trophy: even if you cannot enter immediately, the current roadmap still lists no missable trophy.

No. PowerPyx counts 99 Tablet Shards in total and says none are missable. You need 89 of the 99 for the shard-linked trophy rewards, not all 99.

Collecting shards during normal exploration reduces backtracking, which is why the roadmap recommends picking them up along the way. That is an efficiency suggestion, not a warning about a point of no return. You can return with the airship and finish the required 89 later.
Which optional objectives should I track?
Optional content can take time, but the following requirements are cleanup tasks rather than missable triggers.

The 1,000 staggers and 400 Resonance uses can feel grindy if ignored until the finale, but the achievement descriptions do not identify a chapter deadline. Likewise, the million-gil requirement is a cumulative earning target according to the roadmap, so spending gil does not turn an otherwise valid run into a failure.

What is the safest completion route?
You do not need a special “missables” save file, but a few habits make cleanup faster and reduce uncertainty.
- Play the eight chapters normally. Follow the story and complete optional content when convenient; none of the listed trophy objectives is reported to disappear permanently.
- Pick up visible shards during exploration. This lowers later travel without forcing a perfect 99-shard sweep.
- Keep a manual save before major story transitions if you want reassurance. PowerPyx reports one autosave slot and ten manual-save slots. Manual saves are a safety measure, not a platinum prerequisite.
- Leave difficult fights for later. The guide recommends returning when the party is better equipped and leveled; it does not make a particular level or build mandatory.
- Finish the story and load the cleared save. Use the airship and world map to revisit areas, complete substories, gather the 89 required shards, clear the Colosseum content and pursue Ultima Weapon.
- Use the remaining time for cumulative counters. Continue normal battles and Resonance use until the 1,000-stagger and 400-use thresholds register.
How large is the trophy list?
PowerPyx lists 40 PlayStation trophies: one platinum, four gold, seven silver and 28 bronze. Its guide estimates difficulty at 4/10 and the platinum at 50–60 hours. Those are guide estimates, not a measured average or a promise of how long an individual save will take.
The achievement database uses the same underlying objectives, including the shard thresholds, combat counters, weapons, exploration targets and post-story fight. If your platform presents a different icon, grade or title, compare the description’s objective rather than assuming the requirement changed.
What happens if I imported a demo save?
Square Enix says on its Steam listing: “Begin your journey with the free demo where your saved data carries over to the full game!” A PlayStation player also reports that relevant trophies appeared after importing a demo save.

Save transfer is therefore supported by the publisher, and trophy carry-over has been reported, but the player report is not a guarantee that every account, platform or unlock state will behave identically. If a trophy does not appear immediately, continue from the imported save and use the game’s completion records before assuming that the objective is unavailable.

What is the difference between a temporarily inaccessible item and a missable trophy?
A missable trophy is one that cannot be earned after a story decision or chapter transition without restarting. A temporary area lock is different: the map or chest may be unavailable for a while, then return through story progress or post-story travel.
Grandshelt Castle is the relevant example. The Black Garb chest prompted early concern because the burning castle cannot always be entered, while later player reports describe access after repairs. That uncertainty concerns the timing of an item, not evidence that the trophy list contains a permanent missable.

First confirm the exact objective and whether it is cumulative. A counter such as staggers, Resonance uses or total gil may require additional progress rather than a single event. For shard rewards, check that the save has reached the relevant threshold; the trophy-linked target is 89 of 99, not necessarily every shard.

Next, save, reload the cleared-game file and revisit the objective through post-story travel. If the in-game record shows completion but the platform notification remains absent, check the platform’s achievement synchronization and restart the game before beginning a new playthrough. Nothing in the current roadmap says that restarting is required to recover a legitimately completed objective.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a future patch change whether a trophy is missable?
It could change access or fix an unlock bug, although no such exception is documented in the October 2026 roadmap. If a patch changes a chapter route or adds content, check the updated in-game trophy descriptions and release notes before relying on an older checklist.
Why might two players finish the same trophy list in very different times?
The published 50–60-hour figure is a guide estimate, not a completion-rate study. Travel efficiency, optional battles, shard collection habits and time spent building the party can all change an individual’s total without changing the trophy requirements.
Are achievement names guaranteed to match the PlayStation trophy names?
The independent achievement database lists the same gameplay objectives, but platform interfaces can use different labels, grades or notification timing. Match the description’s action—such as the shard threshold or counter—rather than relying only on the displayed name.
Does the 4/10 difficulty estimate measure combat skill?
No. It is PowerPyx’s overall roadmap estimate, reflecting the route and requirements rather than a test of any particular player’s ability. A player who delays optional fights until the party is stronger may experience the combat very differently.
