The available verdicts differ by source: Nintendo Life gave the North American Switch version 6/10 in 2023, while Steam showed 94% positive from 911 user reviews when accessed in 2026. What do the reviews say about Figment 2?
Nintendo Life reviewer Mitch Vogel scored the North American Nintendo Switch version 6/10 (“Not Bad”) in a review published March 10, 2023. He praised its painterly, storybook-like environments, lively voice performances, and puzzles that introduce ideas at a brisk pace. Musical boss encounters stand out too: opponents sing and attack in time with their own tracks.

The review’s main reservations are basic combat that feels stiff and performance drops below the intended 30 FPS target. Vogel reported drops in both handheld and docked play, with some affecting dodge timing. He summed up the game as “a competent and creative action puzzle game with a lot of heart.” This is a dated assessment of the Switch version, not a current performance test; the available sources do not establish whether later updates changed the reported issues.

Is Figment 2 worth playing?
It is most appealing if you value inventive presentation and approachable puzzles over refined action. The Switch review describes a mostly linear action-puzzle adventure with simple but satisfying puzzles, exploration, sword-and-dodge combat, and musical boss fights. Its art, voice acting and steady introduction of puzzle ideas are the clearest strengths in that review.
Combat is the main caveat: if precise, responsive fighting is central to what you want from an action game, Nintendo Life’s criticism of stiff basic combat—and its report that Switch frame-rate drops could affect dodges—deserves attention. The positive Steam user-review figure suggests many Steam reviewers responded favorably, but it does not tell you how that version performs or guarantee that you will share their view.
How long is Figment 2: Creed Valley?
Nintendo Life’s reviewer estimated a playthrough at about five hours. Treat that as one reviewer’s approximate runtime, not a guaranteed completion time; the available sources do not provide separate times for different play styles or completion goals.
Is Figment 2 good on Switch, and what is known about PC?
The direct platform-specific review evidence here is for the North American Switch version. Nintendo Life praised its presentation and puzzles but reported frequent drops below the intended 30 FPS target in handheld and docked play, sometimes interfering with dodge timing. That is a meaningful warning for players sensitive to performance, but it reflects the reviewer’s 2023 experience rather than an assessment of the current patched build.

Steam lists a PC release, but the available sources do not include a comparable PC performance review or test. It would be misleading to infer from the Switch criticism that the PC version has the same issue—or to claim that it runs better. For a platform decision, weigh the Switch review’s dated warning against your preference for portability; seek current platform-specific information if performance is decisive.
Can you play Figment 2 in co-op?
Yes. The Steam listing describes local co-op, with Player 2 controlling Piper, and says a controller is required. It lists shared/split-screen co-op. Nintendo Life reports that on Switch the second player can use a single Joy-Con, so the review does not indicate that a second full controller is necessary.

Do you need to play Figment first?
Steam describes Creed Valley as a standalone sequel, so the listing supports playing it without first completing Figment. The cited sources do not compare the story experience for newcomers and returning players, so they do not establish how much context or added appreciation the first game provides.
