When did Rebirth launch on Xbox and Switch 2?
The date depends on which regional Square Enix announcement you are referring to: Square Enix Asia listed June 3, 2026, while Square Enix North America published an “Available Now” announcement on June 5, 2026. Those dates reflect regional announcements, not a contradiction about one universal launch date. Square Enix Asia’s announcement also specifies Xbox Play Anywhere and Xbox Cloud Gaming support. North American players can refer to Square Enix North America’s availability notice.

What does “the whole trilogy is coming” mean?
In September 2025, Square Enix said the remake series would eventually come to Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox, alongside PS5 and PC. That statement set the direction for the trilogy; subsequent announcements confirmed the first two games’ launches, and the September 2026 finale announcement supplied Revelation’s date and platforms. The series is therefore not merely planned for Xbox and Switch 2: two entries are available, with the last one scheduled for 2027. Square Enix’s Intergrade announcement and its franchise page provide the official series context.
