What is The Ivalice Chronicles?
It is an enhanced edition of the 1997 FINAL FANTASY TACTICS. Square Enix says it contains both enhanced and classic versions, so players can choose between an updated presentation and a mode intended to recreate the original game alongside the War of the Lions translation.

Classic mode
Classic mode is described by Square Enix as a recreation of the 1997 release with the War of the Lions translation. The publisher’s original announcement says: “The classic version faithfully recreates the 1997 release of FINAL FANTASY TACTICS alongside the acclaimed War of the Lions translation.”
