Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launched on Xbox Series X|S on June 3, 2026. Xbox also lists the game for Xbox on PC, with Xbox Play Anywhere support. The 2026 release is no longer a future plan: Square Enix and Xbox have confirmed it.

The Xbox Series X|S version launched on June 3, 2026, according to Square Enix’s announcement and the Xbox store listing. That makes the old question of whether the game was still coming in 2026 outdated: it has arrived.

The Xbox store lists a standard digital edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. The official Deluxe listing includes the game, a digital art book, and a digital mini soundtrack. Square Enix says the digital materials are viewed through its Digital Content Viewer; the listing does not establish a physical Xbox edition.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second story in Square Enix’s three-title Final Fantasy VII remake project, as described on the publisher’s franchise page. It follows Final Fantasy VII Remake and continues the retelling rather than serving as a standalone remake of the entire original game.
