Roblox Error Code 119 usually means the Xbox client could not load or copy data needed to start an experience. However, Roblox does not currently publish a dedicated official explanation for Error 119 in its Xbox One Help section. Treat the code as a symptom rather than a confirmed diagnosis: the cause may be a temporary outage, damaged local app data, an outdated installation, network trouble, an account-linking issue, or one broken experience.
Work through the fixes below in order, testing Roblox after each step. Avoid factory-resetting the console or unlinking accounts unless the evidence points specifically to those problems.

What Roblox Error 119 means
Third-party Roblox coverage commonly associates Error 119, sometimes discussed alongside Error 120, with a failure to copy files or initialize a level cache. That is the most commonly reported interpretation, not an official Roblox definition. Roblox’s current Xbox support index does not include a dedicated Error 119 article, so it is not accurate to say that the code always means corrupted cache.

1. Check whether Roblox is having an outage
Open the Roblox Status page and inspect Xbox App, Games, Website, and Player. Roblox lists Xbox App separately, so an Xbox-specific incident may exist even when the website appears normal.
If Xbox App or Games is degraded, wait for the incident to clear instead of repeatedly reinstalling Roblox. A green status page does not completely rule out a regional, account-specific, or experience-specific problem, because status dashboards can lag behind isolated failures.
2. Quit Roblox completely
- From the Xbox Home screen, highlight Roblox.
- Press the controller’s Menu button.
- Select Quit, if the option appears.
- Launch Roblox again and test the same experience.
This closes a suspended or frozen session instead of allowing Xbox to resume it. It is a standard Xbox recovery step, not a Roblox-documented Error 119 fix.

3. Power-cycle the Xbox One
- Hold the physical power button on the Xbox until the console shuts down.
- Unplug the power cable after shutdown.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the cable and start the console.
- Open Roblox and test again.
This refreshes the console and app state. It is often described online as “clearing the Xbox cache,” but a power cycle should not be presented as guaranteed deletion of a specific Roblox cache folder. Do not remove saved data casually; that is a different and potentially more disruptive action.
4. Test the Xbox network connection
Run the network test available in the Xbox network settings. Check the internet connection, NAT type, multiplayer connectivity, and whether other online games or Xbox services work.
Then restart your modem and router. If possible, connect the Xbox temporarily through a phone hotspot or another network.

Roblox’s general connection guidance identifies connection failures, router interference, defective experiences, and reinstalling as relevant areas. Its instructions are largely written for computer play, so browser, antivirus, and Windows-cache steps do not apply directly to an Xbox One. A VPN is also not a primary fix: it can add latency or create NAT problems.

Try two or three different Roblox experiences.

6. Update Xbox and Roblox
Install all available Xbox system updates and Roblox updates. Menu labels can vary slightly by Xbox system update and console model, so use the update or manage-app options shown on your console.
Roblox remains listed for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and online play requires a network connection. Do not rely on old articles that claim Xbox One support has ended, and do not assume a specific Roblox version number without checking the console itself.

7. Reinstall Roblox
If power cycling and network testing do not help, reinstall the app to repair damaged or incomplete local files.
- Highlight Roblox on Xbox.
- Press the Menu button.
- Choose Manage game and add-ons.
- Uninstall Roblox.
- Restart the Xbox.
- Reinstall Roblox from the official Xbox Store listing.
- Sign in and test more than one experience.
Uninstalling the app does not normally delete your Roblox account, Robux balance, avatar inventory, or cloud-based account information. Confirm that you know the correct Roblox login before uninstalling. Experience progress is controlled by each experience and may not be stored identically, so do not promise that every locally stored setting or piece of progress is preserved.

- Confirm that the intended Xbox profile is signed in.
- Confirm that Roblox is using the intended Roblox account.
- Check whether the Xbox profile is already associated with a different Roblox account.
- Avoid repeatedly switching accounts or unlinking them without a clear reason.
- Review family and privacy settings that control online multiplayer and user-created content.
Roblox maintains separate Xbox resources for login and account linking in its Xbox One Help section. Account association is therefore a separate troubleshooting path from general app loading. Do not unlink accounts casually; doing so can create additional login confusion.

If another account is available, test it on the same console and network. This is only a diagnostic comparison, not a recommendation to abandon the affected account or create a replacement.
- Another account works: investigate account linkage, profile permissions, parental restrictions, or account-specific data.
- Both accounts fail: the console, app, network, or Roblox service is more likely responsible.
Is Error 119 a ban?
There is no evidence that Error 119 is a Roblox or Xbox ban code. Do not interpret it as a ban by itself. A moderation action should normally be accompanied by an explicit suspension, termination, or other account message. If such a message appears, follow Roblox’s moderation and appeal process rather than treating it as a loading error.

Why Roblox may work on a phone or PC but not Xbox
Roblox’s cross-platform availability does not guarantee identical behavior in every experience or on every device. If Roblox works elsewhere but not on Xbox, the likely areas are the Xbox app state, Xbox-specific account association, the console’s network path, its update state, or an experience’s Xbox-specific behavior.
When to contact Roblox Support
Contact Roblox Support if Error 119 continues after the outage check, power cycle, network comparison, updates, and reinstall. Escalate sooner when the problem affects only one account, involves login or linking, or began after switching accounts, changing consoles, or installing an update.
Include:
- A screenshot and the exact error wording.
- Whether the console is an Xbox One, One S, or One X.
- The Xbox gamertag and Roblox username.
- Whether every experience or only one fails.
- Whether another network or account was tested.
- The date and approximate time, including time zone.
- Every troubleshooting step already completed.
Roblox’s general support guidance recommends providing the username, error details, device information, reproduction steps, and recent changes.
