A guide published March 19, 2024, places the altar used to summon him in the POI’s throne room. Defeating Zeus could award his Mythic Huntress DMR and the Thunderbolt of Zeus; the guide also reports an Aspect of Speed drop. These are historical season details, not confirmation that the encounter is available in Fortnite now.
Where to find Zeus
Epic Games identified Mount Olympus as Zeus’s home in its March 8, 2024 Chapter 5 Season 2 announcement. For the boss’s start point, a March 19, 2024 Prima Games guide says to summon Zeus at the altar in the Mount Olympus throne room.
The available sources establish the location and rewards, but do not provide a sufficiently sourced account of Zeus’s attack phases, health thresholds, or a reliable combat strategy. This guide therefore sticks to the encounter details that were documented.
Zeus’s documented rewards
Mythic Huntress DMR
Epic’s season announcement says the Mythic Huntress DMR could be obtained by hunting down Zeus. The announcement confirms the reward, but does not give a combat strategy for securing it.

Thunderbolt of Zeus
Epic says players could obtain the Thunderbolt of Zeus by defeating Zeus or picking it up around the Island. The item let players rise into the air and throw lightning; it had a maximum of three charges, with a cooldown between charges. As Epic put it: “With the Thunderbolt of Zeus, you can rise into the air and hurl lightning bolts at your target!”
The Prima Games guide additionally reported that the Thunderbolt could appear as chest or floor loot. That is a dated guide’s account; Epic’s announcement confirms island pickups more generally.

Nearby Olympus Chest information
A March 11, 2024 GameSpot guide reported Olympus Chests at Mount Olympus and Brawler’s Battleground. It noted that possible chest points could instead contain a standard chest or no chest. In its account, the easternmost Mount Olympus chest location—on top of the building where the Zeus battle took place—was a guaranteed Olympus Chest spawn. These are launch-season details, not a guarantee about the current map.
