Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Super ran from June 7 to August 7, 2025. Its main additions were three named locations, match-long Hero Ranks and Hero Caches, new Hero Items, Boons and Sprites, and a superhero-themed story centered on Supernova Academy and Mask Maker Daigo. This is a guide to the season’s announced features, not a complete technical changelog for every update released during it.

Season dates and scope

Epic’s season overview, published June 7, 2025 and updated June 26, set Super’s dates as June 7–August 7, 2025. Epic’s season announcement describes the Battle Royale additions and planned arrivals. A separate v36.20 ecosystem post, published July 15, covers items and assets for the Fortnite ecosystem, including creator content; it should not be read as a complete Battle Royale patch list.

What changed in the map?

Supernova Academy

The hero-training hub was a focal point of the season. Its Tech Lab included rank-gated rooms where players could pursue Hero Items.

Utopia City

This urban drop spot combined office parks and landscaped areas with loot.

Demon’s Domain

Mask Maker Daigo’s citadel gave players a place to challenge the season’s central antagonist.

How Hero Rank and Hero Caches worked

Each match began at C rank. Players advanced through B, A, S and S+ by completing deeds such as eliminating opponents or henchmen, surviving Storm phases, and taking a Sprite to a Shrine. Rank was shared among party members.

Rank #2
Fortnite Early Game Survival Kit Figure Pack, The Visitor
  • The Early Game Survival Kit includes an incredibly detailed 4-inch The Visitor action figure featuring a weapon, umbrella, and a building material/stand.
  • The Visitor 4-inch action figure has 25+ points of articulation and highly detailed decoration inspired by one of the most popular outfits from Epic Games' Fortnite.
  • The Visitor is equipped with the exclusive Beach Umbrella, Cliffhanger harvesting tool, Offworld Rig back bling, and an epic quality Heavy Shotgun.
  • Exclusive editing materials highlight your building changes to structures. Edit between walls ramps and floors for the complete building experience. Additional building materials sold separately and subject to availability.
  • Official Licensed Product.
  • Each rank-up granted 100 Effective Health and access to a Hero Cache.
  • Higher ranks unlocked better Hero Cache loot.
  • At S+, players received Boons they were missing instead of a cache.

Hero Items, weapons and mobility

Epic’s overview introduced equipment with distinct combat, scouting and traversal roles. Some items were marked as later-season arrivals rather than available at launch.

Combat and scouting

  • Myst Gauntlets: Shadow-energy attacks.
  • Killswitch Revolvers: Dual pistols with a dodge and an airborne Hangtime firing mechanic.
  • Tracking Visor: Scanned the battlefield, pinged nearby enemies and revealed footprints.
  • Bass Boost: Released a sound wave that destroyed structures, damaged opponents and could launch its user.
  • Robin’s Grapnel Gun: A longer-range traversal tool.

Later-season arrivals

  • Surf Cube: A traversal item announced as coming later in the season.
  • Storm Beast’s Pom Poms: A transformation with a Storm Slam ability, also announced for later.
  • Myst Form: A temporary invulnerable raven form. Epic said it could combine with Myst Gauntlets into Ascended Myst; it too was announced for later in the season.

Other named weapons and Unstable Exotics

The season overview also named the Spire Rifle, Hyperburst Pistol and Deadeye DMR. Its Unstable Exotics were the Unstable Yoink Shotgun, Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol and Unstable Frostfire Shotgun, associated respectively with pulling effects, shockwaves, and Pepper effects plus slowdown.

Boons and Sprites

Epic described four Boons whose effects grew stronger with Hero Rank:

  • Storm Caller: Replenished Shield while the player was in the Storm.
  • Speed Healer: Allowed sprinting while healing and granted Slap.
  • Combat Acrobat: Reloaded weapons through parkour.
  • Heightened Senses: Marked attackers.

Dash Sprite and Superman Sprite replaced Air and Water Sprites on the map in the season overview.

Bosses and their announced rewards

Epic’s overview said defeating Daigo rewarded the Mythic Enhanced Spire Rifle and Infernal Defenses Medallion. It described Kor as a lieutenant and listed the Mythic Kor’s Deadeye DMR and Shrouded Striker Medallion as Kor’s rewards. These are the season overview’s announced gameplay details.

What v36.20 added for creators

Epic’s July 15, 2025 Fortnite Ecosystem v36.20 summary lists the Unstable Thunderclap DMR, Lightrider’s Surf Cube and Unstable Bounce Grenade, along with Utopia City prefabs and galleries for creators. The post is an ecosystem update summary, not a full Battle Royale changelog for v36.20 or the season.

Battle Pass, platform and limited-time details

The Super Battle Pass included free and premium rewards claimable through XP earned in Fortnite experiences. Epic’s season page listed Robin, Haylee Skye, Ziggy, Synthwave, Killswitch, Lightrider and Morgan Myst among its Outfits. The page gave a historical 2025 price of 1,000 V-Bucks or access through Fortnite Crew; those details describe this past season, not current offers.

Epic also said Fortnite arrived on Nintendo Switch 2 in time for Super. The console was an optional platform, not a requirement for playing the season. The Wishing Star Emote offer was for players who logged in on the new console by March 31, 2026. The season announcement also described launch Twitch Drops and tournaments; its stated Drops period ended June 15, 2025.

Where to find official patch notes

Epic Support directs players to Fortnite News for season news, Battle Pass details, patch notes and seasonal events. The official season overview and v36.20 ecosystem post establish the major announced additions above, but do not provide a complete technical changelog for every release during Super.
