Choose by the access route and device you actually have, not by an unverified claim that one service streams Fortnite better. Epic identifies all three as Fortnite cloud-streaming options, but the evidence does not compare their in-game latency, queue times, or image quality under the same conditions.

Is Fortnite free on Xbox Cloud Gaming, and do you need Game Pass?
Microsoft says supported free-to-play games such as Fortnite can be played with a free Microsoft account in a supported region. Game Pass is not the stated prerequisite for that Fortnite access route.
Keep the free Fortnite route separate from Xbox’s paid-plan cloud-playtime allowances. On Microsoft’s Xbox page, checked October 30, 2026, the listed allowances are 5 hours per month for Game Pass Essential, 10 hours for Premium, and 15 hours for Ultimate. Those figures describe cloud playtime for the paid plans; they are not a verified monthly cap on Fortnite access through a free Microsoft account.
Xbox lists Windows PCs, Apple and Android phones and tablets, Xbox consoles, selected smart TVs, Fire TV, and other devices for cloud gaming generally. NVIDIA’s plan information, verified October 30, 2026, says ordinary Performance and Ultimate members receive 100 hours of monthly premium playtime, with up to 15 hours of unused playtime eligible to roll over. NVIDIA’s FAQ also says free sessions can begin with up to two minutes of video sponsorship messages. That FAQ does not establish a predictable Fortnite queue time, so do not treat either the message duration or a particular wait as a guarantee.
NVIDIA’s browser requirements, checked October 30, 2026, specify 15 Mbps for HD streaming at up to 60 FPS and 25 Mbps for FHD at 60 FPS. NVIDIA recommends wired Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi and less than 80 ms latency to its data center. Control options change when you move from phone to computer. Epic says GeForce NOW supports keyboard and mouse on most supported nonmobile devices, and Luna supports keyboard and mouse on Windows, Mac, and Chromebook.
