Yes. Fortnite Festival supports specific Rock Band 4 Fender Jaguar and Stratocaster guitars, as well as PDP RIFFMASTER controllers, for Pro Lead and Pro Bass on the Main Stage. Compatibility depends on the exact guitar and platform; Xbox One Rock Band 4 guitars also need an Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 when used on PC.
Which guitars work with Fortnite Festival?
Epic’s April 23, 2024 Season 3 announcement named the following models and platform combinations. These are the launch compatibility details in that announcement, not a guarantee that every Rock Band or Guitar Hero guitar works.

“Not listed” means Epic’s announcement did not identify that combination; it is not evidence that an unlisted model or setup works. Check Epic’s Season 3 announcement for the named launch models and platform list.
Does my Rock Band guitar work on PC?
Epic listed the Xbox RIFFMASTER as supported on PC. The Xbox One Rock Band 4 Fender Jaguar and Stratocaster were also listed for PC, but require the Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows 10. The announcement did not list the PlayStation Rock Band 4 guitars for PC, nor did it establish support for other adapters or older guitar models.

What can you play with a guitar controller?
Supported guitar controllers can play Pro Lead and Pro Bass song parts on the Festival Main Stage. Epic describes those parts as available in current and future Jam Tracks. The guitar-specific play features colored fret lanes corresponding to controller buttons, along with hammer-on and pull-off notes.
A guitar is optional: Epic also lists keyboard and mouse and standard controllers as ways to play Pro Lead and Pro Bass. Guitar controllers can also be used for non-pro parts, such as vocals. See Epic’s Pro Lead and Pro Bass support page for its control-method details.

How to choose the right setup
- Identify the exact controller model, including whether it is the PlayStation or Xbox version.
- Match it to the platform column in Epic’s compatibility list above.
- If you are connecting an Xbox One Rock Band 4 Jaguar or Stratocaster to a Windows 10 PC, use the Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Adapter required by Epic’s announcement.
- If your model or platform combination is not listed, do not assume compatibility based on the guitar’s age, brand, or resemblance to a supported controller.
What Epic’s announcement does not establish
The compatibility table is specific to the models and platforms it names. It does not confirm universal support for older Rock Band or Guitar Hero controllers, unlisted third-party adapters, or later platform changes. Epic’s announcement also mentioned that the whammy bar initially produced a visual effect without audio distortion or extra Overdrive energy; that was a launch detail from April 2024, not a confirmation of current mechanics.
For current game details, Epic’s Fortnite Festival listing describes the Main Stage and Jam Stage experience. Compatibility can change, so check Epic’s latest controller guidance if you are making a purchase or troubleshooting a later setup.
