Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2 brought back five classic locations—Tilted Towers, Junk Junction, Haunted Hills, Snobby Shores and Shifty Shafts—and expanded its loot pool in stages. The historical season ran from January 31 to March 25, 2025 ET; it is not the current season.
When did Fortnite OG Season 2 run?
Epic announced Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2 on January 31, 2025, with an end date of March 25, 2025 ET. Its map updates revived points of interest from the original Chapter 1 Season 2. Epic’s announcement also described the OG Pass as a 45-tier seasonal progression pass, which could be progressed until March 25, 2025 ET. That date has passed, so current pass availability should not be assumed.

Which locations returned to the map?
The five named POIs were Tilted Towers, Junk Junction, Haunted Hills, Snobby Shores and Shifty Shafts. Epic’s descriptions point to different kinds of terrain and movement, but do not establish comparative loot counts, player density or win rates.
| POI | What Epic described | Map character |
|---|---|---|
| Tilted Towers | High-rise buildings, apartments and offices, with chests and danger. | Dense, vertical urban terrain with buildings and multiple levels. |
| Junk Junction | A scrapyard with piles that can conceal opponents. | Outdoor scrapyard terrain with visual cover and obstructed sightlines. |
| Haunted Hills | Tombs and crumbling architecture. | Ruins and tombs shape movement through the location. |
| Snobby Shores | Upscale residences and an underground bunker. | Residential buildings alongside a below-ground area. |
| Shifty Shafts | A maze of tunnels suited to close-quarters encounters. | Enclosed, underground routes where encounters tend to be close-range. |
As broad contrasts, Tilted Towers’ high-rises offer vertical urban movement, while Shifty Shafts’ tunnels favor close-quarters fighting. Junk Junction’s scrapyard piles can conceal opponents; Epic did not publish tactical rankings for these POIs. See Epic’s POI descriptions for its full location overview.

How did the Season 2 loot pool change?
Epic said gear from classic Chapter 1 Season 2 would be added to the loot pool regularly, rather than presenting every listed item as available on launch day. In the January 31 announcement, Small Shield Potion and Multi-Surface Damage Trap were explicitly marked live. The other items below were named as additions, but that announcement alone does not establish their exact live dates.
| Item | Class or role | What the launch announcement establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Small Shield Potion | Shield consumable | Marked live. Each potion grants 25 Shield, up to a 50 Shield cap. |
| Multi-Surface Damage Trap | Trap | Marked live. |
| Boogie Bomb | Utility item | Listed among items being added; exact live date not stated. |
| Suppressed Pistol | Pistol | Listed among items being added; exact live date not stated. |
| Cozy Campfire | Healing item | Listed among items being added; restores 2 HP per second for up to 25 seconds. |
| Chug Jug | Healing and shield item | Listed among items being added; exact live date not stated. |
| Minigun | Weapon | Listed among items being added. Epic described it as having no magazine limit, with a prolonged cooldown after sustained firing. |
| Crossbow | Weapon | Listed among items being added. Epic noted it was first introduced as Cupid’s Crossbow before becoming the Crossbow in Season 3. |
| Impulse Grenade | Utility and movement item | Listed among items being added; exact live date not stated. |
The official item details and staged-addition note appear in Epic’s January 31, 2025 announcement. It does not provide day-by-day availability or drop probabilities, so the list should not be read as a complete launch-day pool or a guide to item rarity.
