Epic confirmed Harry Potter-inspired Fortnite Shop Outfits that players could customize for any of the four Hogwarts houses. A Harry Potter Broom Mythic, by contrast, appeared in pre-event leak reporting but was never officially confirmed; available coverage does not show it shipping during Winterfest 2025. The event ended January 5, 2026, so its rewards and promotions are no longer available through the event.
What happened during Fortnite Winterfest 2025?
Epic ran Winterfest 2025 from December 18, 2025, at 9 AM ET through January 5, 2026, at 9 AM ET. The event is over. Its Cabin offered 14 presents, refreshing at 9 AM ET with one present available each day. Players unlocked Glacial Dummy after opening seven other presents and Cheeks after opening 13.
Epic listed the Winterfest Bow Back Bling, Festive Gwinny Back Bling, Wrapped Axe Pickaxe, and Festive Bat Pickaxe among the presents. It also mentioned Blizzard Grenades and Snowball Launchers as festive gameplay items. These were Winterfest details, separate from the Harry Potter Shop cosmetics.
Were the Harry Potter skins real in Fortnite?
Yes. On December 11, Epic and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced Wizarding World celebrations across Fortnite, Rocket League, and the Epic Games Store. Epic said Harry Potter-inspired Outfits and accessories would arrive in Fortnite’s Item Shop later in December, and that players could customize each Outfit to represent Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff. Epic’s announcement and its Winterfest announcement confirmed the house-customizable Outfits.

TechRadar’s December 19, 2025 recap reported ten base Outfits, each with house customization. It listed the Celebration of Hogwarts Bundle at 3,200 V-Bucks and individual Outfits at 1,500 V-Bucks each. According to that recap, the bundle included all ten Outfits, Snowy Owl Back Bling, Firebolt Pickaxe, and Peppermint Imps Emote. Those are historical reported prices and bundle details, not current Shop terms; availability and prices may not recur. The official announcements did not specify a named-character roster, so these should not be described as confirmed Harry, Ron, or Hermione skins. Did the Broom Mythic come to Fortnite?
A December 12 pre-event preview from AllThings.how reported that a Harry Potter Broom Mythic was expected in Battle Royale. The report said its precise behavior had not been detailed and presented broom-based mobility as the expectation. It was leak reporting, not an Epic announcement. The preview described the rumor before the event began.

Epic’s December 18 Winterfest announcement listed festive items but did not identify a Harry Potter broom Mythic. TechRadar’s December 19 recap of released Winterfest content also did not report one. The available evidence therefore supports saying the broom was not confirmed and apparently did not ship as a Winterfest 2025 item. It does not establish why it was absent, whether it was canceled, or whether it could appear later. Epic’s event announcement and the contemporary recap describe the released event content.

The Harry Potter Outfits described in Epic’s announcement were Item Shop cosmetics, not Cabin presents. TechRadar’s December 2025 recap reported paid prices of 1,500 V-Bucks per individual Outfit or 3,200 V-Bucks for the Celebration of Hogwarts Bundle. Those prices describe the historical offering and do not guarantee a future return or current price.

A different Harry Potter-related cosmetic was available through a limited promotion: the Chocolate Frog Back Bling. Epic said players who spent at least two hours in Hogwarts Legacy, which was free on the Epic Games Store through December 18, 2025, at 11 AM ET, could earn the Back Bling. The deadline has passed; this was neither a Winterfest Cabin present nor the rumored Broom Mythic. Epic’s December 11 announcement set out the promotion and its requirements.

- Using the key that was included in the wand tray, insert key into the bottom of the wand and rotate counter-clockwise to remove battery cap
- Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) with the '+' sides facing into the wand and the '+' sides facing the battery cap for both batteries. Both batteries are facing the same direction.
- Once the batteries are properly installed, replace the battery cap by rotating the cap in a clockwise direction by hand. You will need to use the key to tighten the cap until snug. Be careful not to overtighten or strip the key slot
