Rome’s GAMM Game Museum officially inaugurated on 30 November 2024. It is now an operating, hands-on museum near Termini Station, with historical consoles and games, arcade machines, current consoles, VR, and film content. The museum lists daily hours of 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; its current ticket and visitor details are below.
When did the GAMM Game Museum open?
The museum’s official inauguration took place on 30 November 2024. ANSA reported the planned opening two days earlier, describing GAMM as a new video game museum in Rome. The opening date is historical; the museum’s official site currently presents it as an active attraction.

What can you see and do inside?
GAMM is designed for play as well as viewing. Its ground-floor exhibition is arranged in thematic and chronological areas, with consoles and games from different periods available to try. Visitors can also use an arcade room with free-to-play machines, explore an experience area on the lower level with current consoles and VR, and watch documentaries, interviews, and game-related films in a cinema room.
The museum’s current website describes an exhibition with 150 screens and thousands of objects, and separately refers to more than 120 interactive screens. These are the museum’s current descriptions, not a single reconciled screen count. At launch, ANSA reported a venue of about 700 square meters across two levels and more than 120 screens. Turismo Roma also describes a 700-square-meter venue with three thematic areas and a digital archive of interviews, documents, and material from game-history experts and pioneers.

Where is GAMM, and how do you get there?
The museum is at Via delle Terme di Diocleziano 35/36, near Termini Station and Piazza della Repubblica. GAMM estimates a seven-minute walk from Termini; Repubblica is about 100 meters away. The official visitor page also notes nearby paid parking and a discount arrangement with named garages, so check that page for details before driving.

The museum currently lists daily opening hours of 9:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Holiday exceptions may apply, so check the official visitor information before setting out. Its current listed admission prices are:

How long to allow, booking, and access
GAMM’s FAQ gives an average visit time of one to three hours. Advance booking is not required: tickets are available online or at the museum and are valid for the selected date. The FAQ says visitors may leave and return on the same day.
The museum describes accessible restrooms and stairlifts between the entrance and lower floor, and says strollers are allowed. If a specific access feature is essential to your visit, contact the museum directly to confirm that it will meet your needs.
