Fans have spotted a resemblance between leaves in Ghost of Tsushima’s Golden Forest and the leaf emblem in the Ghost of Yōtei logo. It may look like a clever Easter egg, but there is no official confirmation that the similarity was intentional.
What fans noticed
A Reddit post on May 21, 2025, pointed to the Golden Forest in Ghost of Tsushima, where leaves appear to echo the shape of the leaf in Ghost of Yōtei’s logo. A gaming-news report also highlighted the comparison. Some fans called it a cool detail; others thought the shape was simply an ordinary leaf or questioned whether the earlier game could have been hinting at a later one.

The visual comparison is the observation: the forest leaves and the logo emblem look alike to some viewers. The discussion does not establish that the images are identical or that one was designed to reference the other.
Is it a confirmed Easter egg?
No. The fan posts and report support saying that players noticed a resemblance, not that Sucker Punch deliberately hid the logo in Ghost of Tsushima. The official PlayStation announcement and Sucker Punch FAQ do not confirm a connection between the Golden Forest imagery and the logo. For now, “Easter egg or coincidence?” remains a fan question, not an established answer.

What the games’ official connection does—and doesn’t—tell us
PlayStation described Ghost of Yōtei as the latest game from Sucker Punch and the introduction of a new hero, Atsu. Its announcement places her story in 1603, more than 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima (PlayStation’s announcement). Sucker Punch’s FAQ says Yōtei is not a direct sequel to Tsushima and gives the pronunciation as “Yo-tay” (Sucker Punch’s FAQ).
That broader franchise context helps explain why fans are looking for visual links between the games, but it does not prove the logo resemblance was planned. The logo comparison remains an appealing interpretation of the forest scene rather than confirmed foreshadowing.
