Ghost of Yōtei’s original release times by region
Sony announced October 2, 2025 as the game’s worldwide PS5 release date. The detailed digital unlock schedule below was reported by GameSpot, which attributed the times to Sony. Sony’s official launch announcement confirms the worldwide date but does not provide an hour-by-hour list for every country.

The Pacific and Eastern times are the same instant expressed in two US time zones, so the game became available on the evening of October 1 for the West Coast while the calendar had already turned to October 2 on the East Coast. The international pattern was generally midnight local time, but it should not be treated as a guarantee for every territory. For a specific market, check the regional PlayStation Store listing.
Was the October 1 US release an early launch?
For players in the US Pacific time zone, yes: the reported digital unlock was 9 p.m. on October 1. It was not a separate early-access release; it was the same global launch moment that fell at midnight on October 2 in the Eastern time zone.

Digital unlock times did not guarantee physical delivery
The schedule describes digital availability. Sony also offered a physical Standard Edition, but delivery dates and local retailer opening hours are controlled by individual sellers. A disc order was not guaranteed to arrive or become purchasable at the digital unlock time.
How the 2026 Complete Edition timing differs
Sony announced Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition for October 1, 2026. Sony said the included Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted content was scheduled to arrive through patch v.2.0 on October 1 globally, and October 2 in some territories, including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. That later content timing does not change the original game’s October 2025 launch schedule. Check the applicable regional PlayStation Store page for current availability.
