Shino the bear is at Prospector’s Camp with Toku, beside the Nupur River. From Yotei’s Shadow Inn, head northeast and follow the river toward Serpent’s Pass. To get Shino’s reward, first complete Toku’s quest, The Loss We Carry, then feed Shino fish twice and follow him to the Untamed Loyalty katana sword kit.
Where to find Shino
Look for Prospector’s Camp by the Nupur River. The route begins northeast of Yotei’s Shadow Inn; follow the river in the direction of Serpent’s Pass until you reach the camp. Regional labels differ between walkthroughs, so use the named inn, river, and camp as your landmarks rather than relying on a specific map-region label. Game8’s Shino guide and PowerPyx’s location guide agree on the camp and river location.

Complete Toku’s quest before feeding Shino
Shino’s interaction and reward come after The Loss We Carry, which begins by speaking with Toku at Prospector’s Camp.
- Start the quest: Speak to Toku at Prospector’s Camp to begin The Loss We Carry.
- Recover Toku’s charm: Find Taro the Scavenger near Dead Man’s Tree, deal with the Saito outlaws, and retrieve the charm.
- Return to Toku: Bring back the charm and finish listening to Toku’s story.
- Interact with Shino: Once the quest is complete, approach the bear at camp.
- Feed Shino twice: Put fish in the nearby bowl two times. If you need fish, check the traps by the river.
- Follow Shino: Follow the bear to the Untamed Loyalty katana sword kit.
What Shino gives you
Following Shino leads to Untamed Loyalty, a katana sword kit. Shino is a short quest encounter tied to this reward sequence, not a persistent companion; the walkthroughs do not say that he remains at camp or follows Atsu afterward.

Game and platform context
Ghost of Yōtei is set in a fictionalized Ezo, now Hokkaido.
