Use class labels as a starting point, check how each Doll’s skills work together, and invest in units and gear you actually use. No universal lineup or upgrade order is established for the current live patch.
How to choose a team for a stage
Start with the win condition and the threats shown in the encounter. A stage may reward sustained damage, mobility to reach targets, protection or healing, or a response to a specific enemy mechanic. Build to cover those needs rather than assigning one class to every slot by rote.

For each candidate Doll, inspect active and passive skills. Ask whether one Doll enables or benefits from another’s actions, such as by setting up a follow-up attack, providing a buff or protection, or helping exploit a weakness. Then use remaining slots to address gaps in damage, survival, mobility, or the objective. This is a practical planning framework, not an in-game formula.

The broad role framework is useful for an initial read, but a Doll’s actual skills matter more than its label. Prydwen’s character progression guide describes the classes in general terms:
#1 Best Overall
- A Kotobukiya Japanese import
- From Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium comes a scale figure of Vector in her bunny outfit
- Enjoy the intricate details of her submachine gun, knives, pouches, bunny outfit, and the various textures seen throughout the figure
- A bunny-ear headband not seen in-game is included to further enhance her bunny silhouette
- Measures approximately 10.6" tall
| Class | Broad function | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Bulwark | Defensive frontline or tank functions | Whether its protection or durability answers the stage’s threats. |
| Sentinel | Damage | Whether its skills and damage type fit the targets and encounter. |
| Vanguard | Mobile scout or sub-DPS functions | Whether mobility or scouting helps reach objectives or respond to threats. |
| Support | Healing or buffs | Whether its support effects address the team’s survival or damage needs. |
These are broad descriptions, not a rule that each team needs exactly one of every class. Review the individual Doll’s skills before deciding what it contributes.
What to check in tactical combat
Roster choice is only part of team-building. Prydwen’s combat guide and weapons and attachments guide describe several mechanics that can shape turn and positioning decisions. Check the current map and enemy indicators in game, since the relevant threats depend on the encounter.
Rank #2
- A Kotobukiya Japanese import
- From Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium comes a figure of Springfield
- Her pose is the definition of grace and elegance—as if she's waltzing right out of a ballroom.
- The vivid blue dress is finished with sharply defined folds and slightly tone-shifted pearlescent paint
- Graceful from every angle, she makes a standout addition to any Commander’s collection
- Cover: can mitigate incoming damage, so account for available positions when planning who needs protection.
- Action Support: lets allies trigger an attack or counterattack under applicable conditions. Consider whether a Doll’s actions can make useful use of this mechanic.
- Surveillance: enemies can threaten units that enter marked areas or take actions there. Inspect marked zones before moving or acting.
- Weaknesses: enemies may have weaknesses associated with phase elements and ammunition attributes. Check enemy indicators and match your available options accordingly.
How to compare two Dolls or upgrades
There is no established in-game scoring formula for choosing between candidates. Use these questions to compare their contribution to your account and the encounter:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Role and encounter fit: which unit answers the stage’s objective or threats more directly?
- Skill interaction: do its skills enable, improve, or protect another team member’s actions?
- Weakness coverage: can it exploit an enemy weakness or help the team handle a mechanic?
- Survival and mobility: does it help the team stay alive or reach the relevant target?
- Cost relative to use: is the expected gain worth spending resources on a unit or upgrade you are likely to field?
Where to invest resources
Levels, skills, weapons, and attachments are distinct progression choices. Prydwen’s progression and equipment guides describe these systems, but were last updated in 2024 and do not establish a universal resource priority for the current patch. Treat them as system orientation, not current optimization rules.
Rank #3
For each planned investment, weigh three factors:
- Use frequency: favor Dolls you regularly bring to the content you play.
- Marginal benefit: consider what the next level, skill enhancement, weapon improvement, or attachment change adds to the Doll’s role.
- Opportunity cost: resources used on one unit cannot be used elsewhere. Avoid a fixed upgrade order without accounting for your roster, content, and available resources.
The available guides do not establish a current named-statistic comparison or an official universal upgrade order. Your next best investment can therefore vary with what you use and what your team lacks.

Check current availability in game
Official procurement notices for Daiyan and Mechty in January and April 2025 document historical limited-character and weapon banner rules; they do not establish which units or weapons are obtainable now. Check the in-game procurement interface or current official notices before planning around a specific Doll or weapon. The official Crew Deck announcement concerns affinity, furniture, and interface features rather than combat team-building; it says Crew Deck access unlocks after Story Campaign Normal Stage 1-8.
