God of War Ragnarök requires a 190 GB SSD and Windows 10 64-bit. PlayStation lists five PC hardware tiers, from 1080p at an average 30 fps on Low settings to 4K at an average 60 fps on Ultra. Those are publisher-listed averages at native resolution with no upscaling, not a guarantee for every PC.
God of War Ragnarök PC system requirements
PlayStation’s current PC specifications list the following hardware targets. The two graphics cards in each row are alternatives named by the publisher; they should not be treated as equal-performing in every game or configuration. The figures are PlayStation’s stated average frame-rate targets at native resolution, without upscaling.

These tiers and targets come from PlayStation’s PC requirements page and the August 8, 2024 PlayStation.Blog requirements announcement. The announcement table spells the Ultra-tier Intel processor as i5-11600K; the current PC page appears to contain a text-rendering typo for that model.
Can my PC run God of War Ragnarök?
Choose the tier that matches the resolution and graphics preset you want, then compare your components with every requirement in that row. A GPU match alone does not establish that your whole PC matches the tier: the processor, memory, operating system, and SSD capacity matter too.

- Set your target. For example, the Recommended tier is the publisher’s target for 1080p, Medium settings, and an average 60 fps; High targets 1440p, High settings, and an average 60 fps.
- Compare your GPU and CPU. Check your exact graphics-card and processor models against the named alternatives in that tier. The listed alternatives are publisher-provided options, not a claim that the cards perform identically in every game.
- Check memory and Windows. Minimum lists 8 GB RAM; every higher tier lists 16 GB. All five specify Windows 10 64-bit.
- Check SSD space. The game lists 190 GB of SSD storage in every tier. You need an SSD with enough available capacity; the specification does not mean you must buy an additional drive if your current SSD has room.
PlayStation describes the frame rates as averages and gives the tier resolutions as native, with no upscaling. Actual results on a particular PC are not guaranteed by matching a row. The specifications are publisher targets, not independent benchmark results.
Does upscaling change the listed targets?
Upscaling is a separate graphics feature that can affect performance and the resolution sent to the display. It does not change what PlayStation’s tier table says: its targets are at native resolution without upscaling. The current PC feature page lists NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1, and Intel XeSS 1.2. The August 2024 launch announcement listed Intel XeSS 1.3, so the version number depends on which dated PlayStation source is being consulted.

How much SSD space does God of War Ragnarök need?
PlayStation specifies a 190 GB SSD for every hardware tier on its current PC requirements page. This is both a capacity and storage-type check: the page says SSD, not simply 190 GB of free space on any drive. If an SSD you already own has sufficient available capacity, the listed requirement by itself does not call for buying another drive.
Do I need a PlayStation account to play Ragnarök on PC?
No. PlayStation Support currently says PlayStation account linking is optional for God of War Ragnarök on PC. Linking offers optional features including trophies and friend management, according to the current PlayStation Support FAQ.

There is an older statement to be aware of: PlayStation’s May 30 and August 8, 2024 launch-era blog posts said a PlayStation Network account was required. For present-day guidance, the current support page says linking is optional.

The PC version was released on September 19, 2024, according to PlayStation.Blog’s May 30, 2024 announcement and the current support FAQ. PlayStation says the PC release includes post-launch updates, New Game+, and Valhalla at launch. Valhalla is included with both Standard and Digital Deluxe editions, according to the PC product page.
