Epic Games later confirmed Baymax as a Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass Outfit and Godzilla as both an in-match event character and a quest-unlocked Outfit. The Battle Pass progression and Godzilla quest window ended on February 21, 2025.
Were the Godzilla and Baymax Fortnite reports leaks?
In November 2024, coverage described a Godzilla crossover—and Baymax—as leak news ahead of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. Epic subsequently confirmed that both characters were part of the season, while its official announcements clarified their different roles. Toho had also announced on November 26, 2024 that Godzilla was coming to Fortnite on December 1 as part of the Hunters season.

Epic launched Chapter 6 Season 1: 鬼 HUNTERS on December 1, 2024, listing “Disney’s Hero Baymax” among its Battle Pass Outfits and saying the Godzilla Evolved Outfit would be available through quests in January. Its announcement said, “The legends are true. Become a true Titan as Godzilla!” Epic’s Chapter 6 Season 1 announcement is the source for those launch details. The earlier leak coverage is documented by The Standard’s November 2024 report.
How did Godzilla and Baymax appear in Fortnite?
| Character | Fortnite role | Timing and availability stated by Epic |
|---|---|---|
| Baymax | Battle Pass Outfit | Listed for Chapter 6 Season 1, which began December 1, 2024. The season’s Battle Pass progression ended February 21, 2025 at 2 AM ET. |
| Godzilla | In-match gameplay event character; Godzilla Evolved Outfit unlocked through quests | Epic announced the event and Outfit quests on January 16, 2025. The quests ran through the end of Chapter 6 Season 1, February 21, 2025 at 2 AM ET. |
Baymax was a Battle Pass Outfit
Epic included Baymax among the season’s Battle Pass Outfits. The Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass cost 1,000 V-Bucks, according to Epic’s December 1, 2024 announcement. That price and the progression deadline refer to that specific season’s pass, not a current offer.

Godzilla had an event and a quest Outfit
Godzilla appeared in Fortnite matches, and players could complete quests to unlock the Godzilla Evolved Outfit. Epic announced those details on January 16, 2025, with the quests available until the season ended on February 21 at 2 AM ET. Godzilla’s event and Outfit were distinct parts of the collaboration; Baymax was listed as a Battle Pass Outfit, not as part of that event. See Epic’s Godzilla announcement for the event and quest details.
Can you still get the Godzilla or Baymax Outfit?
The original Battle Pass progression and Godzilla quest period ended February 21, 2025 at 2 AM ET. Epic’s cited announcements establish those original deadlines but do not establish whether either Outfit has since returned to the Item Shop. They therefore cannot confirm current Item Shop availability.

What other Godzilla-themed items did Fortnite announce?
Epic’s January announcement also detailed a Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle and a Godzilla x Kong-themed Nissan Skyline bundle. These were Fortnite digital cosmetics and items; the announcement is not evidence of physical products. The existence of the bundles does not change the distinction between Baymax’s Battle Pass role and Godzilla’s event and quest roles.
