Should you buy GT7 for PS4 or PS5?
PlayStation lists Gran Turismo 7 for both PS4 and PS5. Confirm your console and the edition listed in your regional store before purchasing; available offers and editions can change by market and date. The official US product page provides the edition and content details for that storefront, but it does not establish that the same offers are available elsewhere. Do you need a racing wheel?
No. TechRadar says GT7 pairs well with PS5 racing wheels, but treats a wheel as a way to enhance the setup, not a requirement. A controller is the straightforward starting point; consider a compatible wheel and pedals only if you want a more immersive setup and are comfortable with the additional cost and space it takes. Is Gran Turismo 7 still getting updates?
PlayStation announced update 1.71 on August 19, 2026. Its field guide described new cars and three World Circuits, and named Whistler as a featured Scapes curation.
