Some GTA Online players can get a one-time GTA$500,000 reward by linking an eligible PlayStation or Xbox account to a Rockstar Games account and verifying the email address. Rockstar says the reward is deposited into Maze Bank within 72 hours, but it is unavailable if that platform account was linked before. GTA+ members may also receive a separate GTA$500,000 monthly deposit when billed.
How to get the free GTA$500,000 in GTA Online
Rockstar Games Customer Support describes the one-time reward as an account-linking offer, not a login bonus. It applies to eligible PlayStation and Xbox accounts and can be claimed once per platform.
- Check whether the PlayStation or Xbox account has already been linked to your Rockstar Games account. If it has, Rockstar says that account is not eligible for this one-time reward.
- Link the eligible platform account to your Rockstar Games account.
- Verify the email address on the Rockstar Games account.
- Allow up to 72 hours for the GTA$500,000 to appear in your Maze Bank account.
Rockstar’s account-linking FAQ does not extend this offer to Steam or Epic accounts, and it does not state an expiration date. Buying a new copy of the game is not listed as a condition of the reward.
Account-link reward vs. GTA+ monthly bonus
| Offer | Who can get it | When it is paid | Important condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account-linking reward | Eligible PlayStation or Xbox account holders | One time, within 72 hours of linking | The platform account must not have been linked before; email verification is required. |
| GTA+ bonus | GTA+ members | Automatically each billed month | The deposit is a membership benefit, separate from the account-linking reward. |
Rockstar Games Customer Support says the GTA+ deposit is made automatically each month the member is billed. Rockstar also states that the GTA+ Maze Bank account is shared between a player’s two GTA Online characters on the chosen subscribed platform; that detail applies to GTA+ and does not change the account-link reward rules.

Do I need to buy GTA V or GTA Online to claim the reward?
