Yes. Rockstar says Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, released August 27, 2026, was captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5. GTA VI is currently announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a November 19, 2026 release date. Rockstar and Take-Two have not announced a PC version or PC release date in the official information reviewed as of October 8, 2026.
Which GTA 6 video was captured on PS5?
The “new trailer” refers to Rockstar’s August 27, 2026 video, which the company calls Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. Rockstar describes it as captured entirely from in-game footage on PS5. That identifies the source platform for the footage; it does not establish that every final platform build will look or perform identically.
Rockstar’s description reads: “Captured entirely from in-game footage on the PlayStation 5, this extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI showcases the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet.” Read the August 27 announcement or view the Extended Look page.
Don’t confuse it with Trailer 2
Rockstar’s 2026 Extended Look is separate from Trailer 2, released May 6, 2025. Take-Two’s announcement about that earlier video also says its footage was captured on PlayStation 5. Both videos were captured on PS5, but they are different releases with different dates.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
A PC release has not been announced, and there is no official PC release date to report. That is different from saying a PC version has been canceled or will never exist: the absence of a PC listing in the current official platform information does not settle whether Rockstar may announce one later.
