The latest official update to Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition identified here is update 1.112, released in November 2024. It added Classic Lighting mode and included “numerous fixes and improvements,” according to Rockstar Games Customer Support’s update notes. A later Steam-only update fixed a Steam Deck OLED launch error. The October 2026 update reported for Grand Theft Auto V is for a different game, not the trilogy.
Which games are included in the Definitive Edition?
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition bundles Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. What changed in update 1.112?
Rockstar’s update 1.112 notes date the release to November 12, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and November 13, 2024, for all platforms and titles. The notes list “Numerous fixes and improvements” and add Classic Lighting mode. - Grand Theft Auto III: It all starts in Liberty City. With the revolutionary freedom to go anywhere and jack anyone, Grand Theft Auto III puts the center of the criminal underworld at your fingertips, if you have enough guts to take it.
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City: Welcome to the 1980s. From the decade of big hair and pastel suits comes the story of one man's rise to the top of the criminal pile.
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: Five years ago, Carl 'CJ' Johnson escaped the haze of Los Santos, San Andreas...a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs, and corruption.
Has a newer Trilogy update been confirmed?
The official Trilogy update notes identified here date to November 2024, so they do not corroborate a newly released Trilogy update in October 2026. An October 2026 update result concerns Grand Theft Auto V, a separate game, and should not be read as a patch for the three remasters.
How does the earlier stability patch fit in?
Rockstar’s update 1.04.5 notes record stability improvements across all three titles and platforms on October 18, 2022. That is older patch history, not the update 1.112 changes from November 2024. Rockstar Games Customer Support’s update 1.04.5 notes
