Guidance from Ages Past follows the Hyrule Castle and Secret of the Ring Ruins events; Secret of the Ring Ruins is listed as a prerequisite.
To finish the quest, follow the relic into the Depths, recover four Construct limbs from the depots, assemble Mineru’s Construct, ride it to the Spirit Temple, and defeat the Seized Construct. The temple sequence ends with Mineru’s Secret Stone and points to Trail of the Master Sword.
Follow the relic to the Construct Factory
- At the end of Dragonhead Island, take the relic and follow the light. Build a Wing with two Fans and a Steering Stick, attach the relic at the front, and steer toward the ruins north of Tobio’s Hollow. This is one documented transport option.
- Place the relic on the altar to open the underground route. Carry it to the elevator pedestal and ride down to the Construct Factory in the Depths.
- Activate Muokuij Lightroot, then place the relic in the Construct’s head position at the factory.
Retrieve the four Construct parts
Each depot has a terminal that releases a boxed Construct part. Bring each box back to the central pedestal at the factory and fit it into the matching limb position. The parts are the Right Leg, Left Leg, Left Arm, and Right Arm. These builds are suggestions, not mandatory recipes: use the available Zonai devices and Ultrahand to suit your inventory and preferred way to transport each box.
Right-Leg Depot
Use the lifts and rails to move the box through the depot. One option is to attach a Fan to help it along the rail, then use a flying vehicle to return it to the factory. Another documented option is to use a Wing and Fan for the return, or carry the box with Ultrahand.

Left-Leg Depot
Attach a Rocket to the box and angle the ramp so it launches onto the upper ledge. Carry the box out of the depot. For the return trip, a cart with a Steering Stick is an alternative to flying transport.
Left-Arm Depot
Collect the two Big Wheels and Steering Stick, then build a vehicle to cross the lava. Adjust the build for the narrower passage. To return the part, use the water route and a Fan-assisted vehicle.

- Ultrahand: Using the new Ultrahand ability, Link can pick up, move, and rotate almost any object, and can even attach objects together to create bridges, vehicles, and more!
- Fuse: Magically fuse almost any object to Link’s current weapon, shield, or arrow to increase durability, damage, or even add a new effect. Experiment with lots of different combinations to come up with surprising—and sometimes hilarious—results!
- Ascend: Add a new dimension to your exploration with Ascend, which gives Link the ability to pass through solid objects above him. Rise up through ceilings, hillsides, and even certain enemies to create seemingly impossible shortcuts.
- Recall: Use Recall to make objects in motion move backward through time, letting Link ride fallen boulders skyward, recover thrown weapons, or send projectiles back where they came from.
Right-Arm Depot
Move the box through the lift and rail sections. A Fan-and-Wing transport is a suggested way to take it back to the factory. PowerPyx lists the depot entrance at coordinates 0641, -2106, -0519; use these as a navigation aid rather than a required step.
Assemble Mineru’s Construct
After all four limbs are fitted, the Construct awakens. Mineru then marks the Spirit Temple southeast of the factory. Mount the Construct to begin the journey through the Depths.

How to get to the Spirit Temple
The Construct uses battery while moving and recharges while stationary. Pause when the battery runs low. You can attach Zonai devices you find along the way: Fans improve movement, while weapon attachments can break rocks and help in fights. Sitoju Lightroot is a useful route landmark; Nintendo Life gives its coordinates as 1215, -2540, -0612.
At the broken approach to the temple, the Construct cannot climb the steep wall. Attach a Rocket to its back and activate it to rise to the top. While still mounted, interact with the owl statue to activate the elevator.

- In addition to the standard version, a collector's edition of the game will launch on May 12th and includes:
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (physical copy)
- 204 page Hard Cover Artbook
- SteelBook case, Steel Poster, Set of four pin badges
How to beat the Seized Construct
Cross the gloom-covered platform while mounted to trigger the encounter. The arena’s barbed wire is the key: use it to damage the Seized Construct by pushing it into the wire.
- Attach spiked balls found in the arena to Mineru’s Construct for close-range attacks.
- Circle to avoid the boss’s ranged attacks. When it closes in, hold ZL to block and strike to drive it back toward the barbed wire.
- In the second phase, the boss takes to the air. Move beneath it while guarding; when it lands, resume attacking and push it into the wire.
Claim Mineru’s Secret Stone and finish the quest
After the fight, collect the Heart Container and interact with the tear on the altar. This claims Mineru’s Secret Stone and triggers the story sequence. The next main quest is Trail of the Master Sword.
What to expect from the Spirit Temple
The Spirit Temple sequence is centered on the mounted approach and the Seized Construct fight rather than a conventional multi-room puzzle dungeon. The main construction challenge comes earlier, in the four depots, where multiple workable vehicle and carrying approaches can get each part back to the factory.
