Guns of Eschaton is scheduled to launch worldwide on December 8, 2026. The first-person Soulslike shooter is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Eschatology Entertainment is developing the game, with 4Divinity publishing it. Set in an occult, apocalyptic version of 19th-century America, it combines deliberate gunfights, limited ammunition, parries, dashes and character builds. Steam currently lists December 8 as a planned release date and says the game is not yet available. The publisher says pre-orders will open soon.

The story takes place in a fictional 19th-century America, also described in the promotional material as an altered Old South. An apocalyptic event called “The Burning” has devastated the frontier, leaving ruined settlements, hostile factions and mythic figures across a world shaped by occult horror.

Steam’s description casts the player as a gunslinger carrying a Colt through this dying landscape. Its central combat promise is that every gun has its own character and every monster has a weakness, so switching weapons and identifying attack patterns are part of progression rather than optional flavor.
Buildcrafting and progression
Announced progression systems include active and passive abilities, custom bullets, talismans, armor and consumables. Players also choose among three sacramental paths. Equipment, exploration and those build choices are designed to support different solutions to the same challenge, such as emphasizing firearms, survivability or occult powers.
Does Guns of Eschaton have co-op?
