The Halloween chapter is no longer available to unlock in Dead by Daylight. Behaviour Interactive removed it from platform stores at 11 a.m. ET on January 19, 2026. Players who unlocked The Shape (Michael Myers), Laurie Strode, or eligible associated content before the cutoff retain access to what they unlocked; Haddonfield and most chapter cosmetics are no longer available through normal play.
What was removed from Dead by Daylight?
The departing chapter brought Michael Myers, Laurie Strode, and the Haddonfield map to Dead by Daylight. Behaviour Interactive announced the departure on December 18, 2025, describing the license’s October 2016 arrival as the game’s first licensed legendary horror film. Can you still get Halloween cosmetics or achievements?
Chapter outfits had to be obtained before removal. BHVR said no future outfits would be made available. Players who unlocked the characters can still earn their three Prestige cosmetics and three perk charms by leveling and prestiging; those rewards are distinct from the chapter’s other cosmetics, which are no longer obtainable.
Character-related achievements became generic achievements. BHVR said completed achievements would unlock automatically and existing progress would be retained. The FAQ explains the cosmetic and achievement changes.
Does ownership carry over, and can you stream the content?
BHVR said previously unlocked content remains available through BHVR account cross-progression. The studio also said streamers face no restrictions on streaming content they had already unlocked. It will not issue refunds, explaining that previously unlocked characters remain playable. These statements are from the official FAQ.

Has the last-chance sale ended?
Yes. BHVR’s historical FAQ listed a 50% DLC discount, but every sale window has passed. The date ranges below are the offer windows BHVR published in 2025; they are not current offers.
