How was the McDonald’s Halo reward supposed to work?
The report said customers could redeem McDonald’s Rewards points through the McDonald’s app for exclusive digital items. Master Chief Armour was the named reward for Halo: Campaign Evolved. The report does not establish the campaign’s redemption schedule or whether the offer remains available, so it should not be treated as a currently active reward.
Was this Halo’s first collaboration?
No. The word “first” refers to McDonald’s first partnership with the Xbox gaming brand, as characterized in Dexerto’s report—not to Halo: Campaign Evolved having its first collaboration. A separate Fanta–Xbox promotion featuring the game was reported earlier in 2026.

How was the Fanta and Xbox promotion different?
Dexerto reported on April 2, 2026, that Fanta and Xbox were collaborating on special-edition cans and bottles, including Halo-themed designs, alongside a new Fanta Crimson Sour Cherry flavor. That promotion was distinct from McDonald’s restaurant campaign.
According to Dexerto’s Fanta–Xbox report, participants scanned a QR code on a can, completed a challenge and linked an Xbox account to receive game rewards. The Halo reward was called “The Master Chief’s Fantastic Spartan Armor.” The report described rewards as available through the end of July 2026; that stated window has passed, so the article does not establish that the armor can still be claimed.

Can you still get the Halo collaboration rewards?
