What Update 1.1 fixes
Progression blockers and softlocks
- Sewer ladder: Fixed the player falling through the floor after climbing out of the sewers.
- Charlotte chase: Fixed a collision problem that could prevent the chase from completing.
- Labyrinth loading: Levels now load correctly after Sunny’s pillar teleport, preventing a fall through the world.
- Charlotte boss fight: Fixed Charlotte becoming stuck on a rock ledge.
- Flooded Room corpse puzzle: Fixed the lever failing to spawn after saving and reloading partway through the puzzle.
These are progression fixes rather than optional polish. If a save is already trapped by one of these problems, updating the game is the first step; the notes do not promise that every previously stuck save will be repaired, so a restart from an earlier checkpoint may still be necessary.
Visual and animation corrections
- The victim no longer disappears during the knife-pickup cutscene.
- A rare bookshelf animation offset has been corrected.
- Visible geometry and lighting pop-in has been reduced when backtracking through the dungeon, during the Chatterer chase and in a stairwell area.
- Placeholder “Burning House” text visible through a Labyrinth window has been removed.
The new GPU-driver warning
Update 1.1 adds a startup notice when the game detects that the GPU driver is out of date. It is a warning, not a requirement to install a particular third-party optimizer. If the game displays it, check for the latest driver supplied for your AMD or NVIDIA graphics card, restart the PC, and then test the game again.

Should you buy or play now?
Steam players
Update immediately if you already own the game, especially before reaching the sewer ladder, Charlotte chase, Labyrinth teleport or Flooded Room puzzle. Players who have not bought it can play the current Steam build with the fixes included, while remembering that Update 1.1 does not add a new story chapter or gameplay mode.

If you are deciding whether to start on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch 2, the practical choice depends on how much risk you will accept before the undated patch arrives. The game launched on all three consoles and Steam on October 8, 2026, but only the Steam build is confirmed to have Update 1.1 so far.

Players who encounter one of the listed blockers should avoid repeatedly overwriting the same save. Keep an earlier save where possible, record the location and trigger that caused the problem, and watch the relevant platform’s update history for Saber’s console release.
