HexGaming announced the PHANTOM Gaming Pro Controller for PS5 on October 10, 2024, positioning it as a customizable controller for competitive play. Its advertised features include four remappable rear buttons, six profiles, interchangeable thumbsticks, configurable triggers and a choice of joystick configurations. Those are manufacturer-described features, not independently verified performance results.
What the PHANTOM offers
HexGaming’s launch announcement describes the PHANTOM as a controller whose button and stick setup can be tailored to a player’s preferences. The company says its configurations can be changed on the fly. The main listed controls are:
- Four remappable rear buttons: assignable controls on the back of the controller.
- Six profiles: HexGaming says players can switch among six saved configurations.
- Interchangeable thumbsticks: the package includes eight sticks in different shapes and heights, according to HexGaming.
- Switchable trigger modes: HexGaming describes adaptive and digital trigger modes. Its details page specifies 1.5–2 mm of travel for digital triggers.
These specifications and descriptions come from HexGaming’s October 10, 2024 announcement and product page; they do not establish measured improvements in response, accuracy or competitive results.
Hall Effect and DRIFIX joystick options
HexGaming presents two joystick configurations. The Hall Effect option is described as including a calibration tool box. The alternative is a HEX DRIFIX module, which HexGaming says allows joystick deviation adjustment within a stated 0.12-unit range. The company markets both options around accuracy and drift management, but no independent drift-rate or accuracy measurements are established here. The options should be understood as manufacturer-described configurations, not proof that drift is eliminated.

Compatibility and what is included
HexGaming’s product page identifies the PHANTOM for PS5, PC and mobile. That broad listing does not, by itself, specify supported devices, connection methods, game compatibility or whether the controller can wake a PS5. The package contents HexGaming lists are the controller, eight interchangeable thumbsticks, an adjustment tool and a user manual. The company says a cable and additional accessories are not included.
Launch price, later listed price and availability
HexGaming’s October 10, 2024 announcement set a starting price of $229.99, named HexGaming.com and Amazon.com as sales channels, and said the controller would be available in America, Canada, Mexico and Japan. Those are launch-era statements, not confirmation of current price, stock, shipping destinations or an active Amazon listing.

At research access on October 8, 2026, HexGaming’s official Dream Blue product page displayed $199.99 beside a crossed-out $229.99. That displayed amount may be variant-specific and can change; it does not establish the price of other configurations or a current Amazon offer. HexGaming’s product page also describes the controller for PS5, PC and mobile. See the official PHANTOM product page for its page-level product information.

HexGaming CEO Ray Zhu described the controller as combining technology with user-focused design and said it was intended to help players in high-stakes environments. That is the company’s promotional rationale. The available material does not provide independent testing of latency, durability, drift, accuracy or competitive outcomes, so claims about those results should not be treated as established facts.
