Find all three Cogheart pieces in Choral Chambers, Whispering Vaults, and Memorium. Complete each area’s bell-memory puzzle to assemble the Cogheart (also called the Cogwork Heart), then use it to awaken the Second Sentinel in Cogwork Core for the Final Audience Wish.
Where to find all three Cogheart pieces
Each piece is in a Citadel area and is awarded for completing its bell-memory puzzle. The listed sequences are numbered from left to right where the room’s layout supports that convention. For each round, listen to the bells and strike them in the same order.

The Choral Chambers and Whispering Vaults sequences above are listed by both the Hollow Knight Wiki and Nintendo Life.
Solving the bell-memory puzzles
- Activate the puzzle’s switch to hear the current round’s bell pattern.
- Strike the bells in the order you heard. Use the room’s layout and the playback itself to identify each bell.
- Repeat for the next round. If you make a mistake, the current round resets; you do not need to redo earlier completed rounds.
For Memorium, guides publish different sequences and numbering conventions. The Hollow Knight Wiki lists 7-2-4-6, 4-2-1-4-3, and 1-5-6-2-7-3, with an “up – down” note. Nintendo Life lists 4-2-7-5, 7-5-2-7-6, and 1-3-5-2-4-6 using a ring numbering convention; All Things How publishes another set. Because these answers conflict, treat the in-game playback as authoritative rather than forcing a guide’s numbering onto your room.

How to use the Cogheart in Cogwork Core
Collecting all three pieces automatically assembles the Cogheart, according to Nintendo Life. Take it to the inert Second Sentinel in the lower portion of Cogwork Core.
- Go to the bottom half of Cogwork Core, near the route you used to first access the Whispering Vaults.
- Follow the left side of the tall cog-filled room to a doorway, then cross the next room.
- Use the ceiling opening and double jump to reach the upper passage.
- Break through the walls and the glass casing around the inert Second Sentinel.
- Interact with the Sentinel to give it the Cogheart. Hornet hands over the heart, and the Sentinel departs.
The Cogheart’s purpose is to activate the Second Sentinel, which is required to take part in the Final Audience Wish. The Hollow Knight Wiki quotes the Sentinel after it wakes: “Woken, is this sentinel. F-f-f-functional, is its shell.”

How to make the Final Audience Wish appear
After waking, the Sentinel roams the Citadel and fights local enemies. Nintendo Life reports that seeing it should make the Final Audience Wish appear, but notes that some players may need to encounter it twice and that the exact trigger is uncertain.

- After spotting the awakened Sentinel, rest at a bench.
- Check the Songclave Wishwall for the Final Audience Wish.
- If it has not appeared, continue through the Citadel until you see the Sentinel again, then check the Wishwall after resting.
