How to start and complete The Lost Fleas
- Accept the Wish. Speak with Fleamaster Mooshka at the Flea Caravan in The Marrow, or pick up the Wish from Bone Bottom’s Wishwall. The Hollow Knight Wiki’s quest entry attributes this request to Mooshka: “I am Mooshka, humble stranger to this land and master of the Flea Caravan! I wish for aid, that all fleas may travel safely together!”
- Rescue five fleas. Any five count toward the initial objective, including the special fleas Kratt and Vog if you rescue them.
- Return to Mooshka. Reporting five rescues completes the first part of the Wish and prompts the caravan to move to Greymoor.
What happens when the caravan moves to Greymoor?
Mooshka offers Hornet a ride to Greymoor. Accepting transports Hornet there; declining the ride does not prevent the caravan from moving. The Hollow Knight Wiki warns that traveling with the caravan before defeating Moorwing can temporarily skip that boss encounter. If you want to fight Moorwing before moving on, do so before taking the ride.
At Greymoor, Mooshka directs Hornet to Grishkin, who provides the Flea Brew. GameSpot describes the brew as a consumable that increases movement and attack speed, and reports that it can be refilled by returning to Grishkin; these are guide-reported gameplay details, not official developer confirmation.
Caravan milestones and reported rewards
Nintendo Life’s guide lists these rescue milestones and rewards. The 15-flea Spool Fragment threshold is marked uncertain in that guide, so treat it as unconfirmed.

How to approach the flea hunt
Fleas are spread across regions and some are gated by traversal abilities, keys, bosses, or later progression. GameSpot recommends Clawline, the grappling ability, and Faydown Cloak, the double jump, for reaching many difficult locations. Check each flea’s route requirements before making a detour: some paths need an ability or a Simple Key, and a flea in a later area may not be reachable during the early five-rescue milestone.
Once Vog has joined the caravan and it has reached Putrified Ducts, GameSpot says Vog can reveal remaining flea locations in exchange for Rosaries. Use this locator for cleanup if you have already explored widely; it complements rather than replaces a region-by-region route.
