The itch.io event listing shows a different count—609 entries—and 8,765 ratings; the two pages do not explain the difference.
What were the Game Off 2023 results?
GitHub’s results post presents the 10 highest-rated submissions overall. The available article details name eight of them:
- Glory to SCALE — a dystopian game about observation and surveillance.
- Arithmometer — a card-play and deck-building game with four challenges.
- Grapple Pack — an escape game built around a grappling device.
- Scale Travel – Infinite scaling… — a platformer featuring puzzles and speedruns.
- The Scales of Judgement — a shoot-’em-up set in the circles of hell.
- Merlin: Scale of the Magic — a Metroidvania-style adventure.
- Sputnika Game — a game about combining planets.
- Tower of Cat-astrophe — a physics-based puzzle about stacking cats.
The roundup’s “top 10” framing implies two additional entries, but the article details available here do not identify them. The eight named games show how broadly participants interpreted “Scale,” from surveillance and hellish combat to planetary combinations and cat-stacking puzzles. GitHub’s post identifies engines or languages for some entries, including Godot/GDScript, Unity/C#, and Construct 3; it does not suggest one tool was required for the jam.
