Horizon Forbidden West is the PS5-and-PS4 action RPG discounted to $14.99 in the US PlayStation Store’s Planet of the Deals promotion. Sony’s storefront shows the Standard Edition reduced from $49.99 with “Save 70%,” and lists the offer ending November 5, 2026, at 07:59 AM UTC. PlayStation LifeStyle reported on October 26 that $14.99 was the game’s lowest price and its first time at that level. The sale covers the Standard Edition only: the Complete Edition and its Burning Shores expansion are not included.
Which PS5 exclusive RPG is 70% off?
The game is Horizon Forbidden West, Guerrilla’s 2022 single-player action RPG published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The discounted digital purchase includes both the PS5 and PS4 versions, making it a cross-generation entitlement rather than a PS5-only license.

PlayStation LifeStyle’s October 26, 2026 report called $14.99 the lowest price for the game and said it was the first time Horizon Forbidden West had reached that price. Sony’s store page separately describes $49.99 as the lowest price in the last 30 days; that shorter store window should not be treated as a complete all-time price history.
What does the $14.99 Standard Edition include?
The sale’s Standard Edition includes the PS5 and PS4 game versions. It does not include the Burning Shores expansion or the bonus items bundled with the Complete Edition.

Should PS Plus Extra or Premium members buy it?
PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can access Horizon Forbidden West through the game catalog, so a current subscriber may not need a separate purchase to play it while it remains in that catalog. Catalog access is different from owning the digital game: access depends on the subscription and the title’s continued availability.
Premium also supports cloud streaming on PS5 and PlayStation Portal for this title, according to the deal information and Sony’s store listing. Buying the $14.99 Standard Edition is the more permanent option for the included PS5 and PS4 licenses, while PS Plus is the lower immediate cost if you already subscribe and only need catalog access.
Choose the purchase when
- You want to keep access without relying on a PS Plus catalog listing.
- You want the PS4 and PS5 entitlements included with the Standard Edition.
- You are willing to buy Burning Shores separately later if you decide you want the expansion.
Use the catalog when
- You already pay for Extra or Premium and plan to play while the game remains available.
- You prefer not to purchase the base game before deciding whether it suits you.
- You have Premium and want the supported cloud-streaming option on PS5 or PlayStation Portal.

- Machine components can be shot off and looted for equipment upgrades.
- Stealth attacks, overrides and mounts—including flying creatures—change how Aloy approaches encounters.
- Exploration includes underwater areas, climbing routes, rebel outposts, relic ruins and Tallnecks.
- Optional activities include combat arenas, machine races and the Machine Strike board game.
- Six skill trees support melee, traps, ranged combat, stealth, machine control, health or hybrid builds.

PlayStation LifeStyle’s October 26 report identifies $14.99 as the lowest reported price and the first time the game reached that amount. Sony’s product page confirms the current $14.99 promotion but only states a lowest price within the last 30 days at the regular $49.99 figure. Those statements cover different time frames, so the broader lowest-price claim comes from the dated deal report rather than Sony’s 30-day field.

- If you want Burning Shores, price the Complete Edition or the expansion separately; it is not part of this sale edition.
