You can start a new game without a Supercell ID by choosing Play without Supercell ID on the title screen. That starts fresh; it will not bring back an existing game. To access old progress, try the account previously linked to the game or contact Supercell Support if you cannot sign in.
Choose the right route: new game or existing progress
“Play without Supercell ID” is for starting over, not logging into an old save. Supercell’s instructions recommend connecting the current game to a Supercell ID first if you want to keep that progress available, then logging out and choosing the no-ID option from the title screen. Follow the prompts shown in your game, since menu labels can vary by game or version. Supercell’s guide to starting a new game describes the process.
If you want to begin a new game
- If you may want to keep your current progress, link it to a Supercell ID before logging out.
- Open the game’s Settings and Supercell ID menu, then use the logout option shown there.
- At the title screen, select Play without Supercell ID and follow the in-game prompts.
This creates a fresh game rather than restoring the account you just left.
If you want your old progress
Do not choose the fresh-game option as a recovery step. Identify whether the game was linked to a Supercell ID email or to a platform account on your device, then use the corresponding route below.

Recover progress linked to a Supercell ID
Supercell ID sign-in uses a one-time email verification code, not a password. Open the game’s Supercell ID login, enter the email associated with the account, and use the latest code sent to that address. Supercell says codes are sent afresh at login. See About Supercell ID.
If you no longer have access to that email, use in-game Support instead of looking for a password reset. Supercell’s account recovery guidance directs players to contact Support and answer questions to verify ownership. If Support verifies the account, it may help recover progress by creating a Supercell ID; recovery is not guaranteed.

Check the account linked to your device
If you did not use Supercell ID, the game may have been connected to a platform account on the device. On Android, Supercell’s Clash of Clans instructions say to select the expected Google account through the Google Play Games app or the device settings. The exact menu names can vary, and these particular directions are for Clash of Clans; other games may differ. See Supercell’s Google-account troubleshooting guide.
Supercell’s guidance also refers to Google or Game Center accounts when loading linked game accounts. Check the platform account you used when you last played, but do not assume every Supercell game offers identical menus or recovery steps.
