Yes—CRACK’s unlocked developer commands disable Steam Achievements, Stats, and Leaderboards for the current game session. Do CRACK cheats disable Steam achievements?

This is not a permanent Steam-profile penalty. It is a flag on the active game session. If you want normal achievement credit, close CRACK completely, launch it again, and do not enter the developer unlock command during the new session.

What exactly triggers the restriction?
The trigger is entering the developer password:

Does every console command have the same effect?
Every command protected by unlock_commands belongs to the achievement-disabling set described by the guide. The two commands available without the password—fog and mute_pa—are explicitly exempt.

There is no safe way to unlock the password-protected money, movement, progression, or ending commands and keep achievements active in that same session. If an achievement run matters, use only the two cosmetic commands—or avoid the console altogether.
How do I open the CRACK developer console?
You need a running game session and a keyboard. The published guide’s sequence is the same for the Steam release on its supported desktop platforms.

Most commands that alter the world work only when you are hosting or playing solo. They may not execute when you join somebody else’s session, but entering the unlock code still changes the achievement state on your client. A failed world command is therefore not a reason to assume your session remains eligible.

The exact purpose of each command varies, but the achievement consequence is the same once the protected console has been unlocked. Commands such as simend can also skip or spoil the game’s endings, so they are especially unsuitable for a first completion run.
Can I get achievements again after using cheats?
Yes. The documented recovery is a full game restart, followed by a clean session in which you do not run unlock_commands.
- Close CRACK completely; merely hiding the console is not enough.
- Launch the game again from Steam.
- Load or start the session in which you want achievement progress.
- Do not enter the developer unlock command during that session.
Neither the guide nor the game’s store materials say that you must delete a save, disable Steam Cloud, or create a new Steam account. They also do not establish whether a save created while cheats were active carries any separate flag after a restart. What happens to Steam Stats and Leaderboards?
The same session flag that disables achievements also turns off Steam Stats and Leaderboards. This matters if you care about recorded totals or leaderboard submissions even when you are not pursuing an achievement.
The warning is reported as a combined restriction rather than separate opt-in switches. Restarting CRACK restores the normal systems together; there is no documented command that re-enables one while leaving the others disabled.
Does CRACK have trophies on PlayStation or achievements on Xbox?
No. As of the 26 October 2026 release and the available 29 October platform information, CRACK is a Steam-only PC game for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with Steam Deck Verified status. Well Done and Free Range are separate ending achievements. A command such as simend or simend escape can jump directly to an ending, but because it requires the developer unlock it will not award a Steam achievement in that session.
Exophase’s 29 October 2026 tracker snapshot listed 625 players, 4,811 achievements earned, and one player in its 100% club. Its examples show how uneven the achievement hunt is: First Crack appeared at 99.36%, Snake Whisperer at 0.64%, Pest Control at 1.44%, and Well Rested at 2.40%. Those are tracker figures, not guarantees of the current Steam population, and the percentages can change as more players complete the game.
Should you use the console in a co-op game?
Choose between a clean achievement run and a sandbox session before entering the password. For a clean run, do not unlock the developer system in any session where you expect achievement credit. For experimentation, use a solo or hosted session when possible, because many world-changing commands are not designed to run in another player’s lobby.

There is no published VAC-ban rate or indication that CRACK’s official in-game developer console is treated like an external multiplayer cheat. Achievement-hunting communities can apply stricter personal rules than the game itself. Steam Hunters, MetaGamerScore, Exophase, and similar communities generally require unlocks to come from in-game actions and may exclude console-assisted runs. Their policies govern submissions to those communities, not Steam’s operation of CRACK.

Will joining a friend’s CRACK lobby avoid the achievement lock?
