You cannot manually unban a Roblox account with a command, VPN, exploit, alternate account, or paid service. If the restriction is temporary, wait for the stated period to expire. If you believe Roblox made a mistake, appeal through the link in the moderation notice or through official Roblox Support.
First, check whether your Roblox account is actually banned
Not every account-access problem is an account ban. Read the exact message Roblox displays and identify the type of restriction:

- Warning: A policy notice that may not block access.
- Content removal: Roblox removed a specific image, item, experience, audio file, avatar asset, or other creation.
- Timeout: A short, time-limited restriction that may expire automatically.
- Temporary suspension: Account access is blocked for a stated period.
- Account deletion or termination: A serious account-level restriction that requires an appeal if you believe it is incorrect.
- Login or security lockout: A forgotten password, suspicious activity, hacked account, or required password change may prevent access without being a moderation ban.
- Device or anti-cheat problem: A modified client, emulator, rooted or jailbroken device, virtual machine, or incompatible software may trigger a separate warning.
Roblox says consequences can escalate from warnings and content removals to timeouts, suspensions, and account-level restrictions, especially after repeated violations. See Roblox’s content-moderation guidance.
What to do before appealing
- Read the complete moderation message.
- Record the moderation date, stated reason, duration, and violation category.
- Take a screenshot for your records, but remove or conceal passwords, security codes, cookies, and other private information.
- Check whether the notice includes a Violations & Appeals link.
- Do not create another account to evade the restriction. Roblox’s Terms of Use say associated alternate accounts may also be suspended or terminated.
How to appeal a Roblox ban
Option 1: Use Violations & Appeals
Use this route when it appears in your moderation notification:

- Open the Roblox moderation notification.
- Select Violations & Appeals.
- Choose Appeal for the relevant violation.
- Briefly explain why the decision should be reconsidered.
- Submit the appeal and monitor its status in the Violations & Appeals area.
Roblox says not every violation category is eligible for this route. If the violation does not appear there, use the Support form instead.
Option 2: Use Roblox Support
If the notice has no Violations & Appeals option, open Roblox’s official Support page and follow the account or content moderation appeal category shown in the current form. Labels and form paths can change.
Provide:
- Your Roblox username
- The email address associated with the account
- The moderation date and exact reason shown in the notice
- A concise, factual explanation of why the action should be reviewed
- Relevant context, such as a possible misunderstanding or unauthorized activity
Submit one appeal for that moderation action. Roblox says duplicate appeals will not be reviewed, and a reviewed moderation action cannot be reviewed again.
What should a Roblox ban appeal say?
Keep the message short and specific. Acknowledge the exact notice rather than sending a vague denial. If you violated a rule, explain what happened and what you will do differently. If the account was compromised, say so only if that is true and explain the unauthorized activity.
You can adapt this template:
Hello Roblox Appeals Team,
I am appealing the moderation action on the account [username], issued on [date] for [reason shown in the notice]. I believe the action should be reviewed because [brief factual explanation]. If unauthorized activity was involved, I have secured the account and can provide ownership information.
Thank you for reviewing the case.

Appeal deadlines and who can appeal
Roblox says most users should submit an appeal within 30 days of the moderation action. The appeal page separately describes a six-month period for users in the European Union appealing an initial moderation action under the Digital Services Act. That EU period does not apply worldwide. UK users may have separate appeal rights described by Roblox under the Online Safety Act.

An appeal is not guaranteed to reverse the restriction. Roblox says it considers the violation, the explanation provided, the seriousness of the conduct, and the account’s history.
Normally, only the account owner may appeal. Roblox may discuss a minor’s moderation status with a parent or guardian in some circumstances, but a friend or sibling generally cannot appeal on the player’s behalf. See Roblox’s guidance on appeals for another person.
If your Roblox account was hacked
A hacked account needs both account recovery and a moderation appeal. Secure the account and device before assuming that unauthorized activity has stopped.
- Remove suspicious downloads and unsafe browser extensions.
- Run a full malware scan.
- Reset the Roblox password to a unique password.
- Enable 2-Step Verification after access is restored.
- If you cannot reset the password, contact Roblox Support.
- In the appeal, identify the suspicious activity and moderation date and explain that it was unauthorized.
Roblox says the first email address added to the account or the billing email used for the first payment may help verify ownership, even if the account email was later changed. Recovery is not guaranteed. If Robux, items, or inventory were lost, Roblox’s hacked-account guidance says to contact Support within 30 days of the compromise for inventory assistance; restoration is not guaranteed.

If you forgot the password
Do not submit a moderation appeal for an ordinary login problem. On the Roblox login page, select Forgot Password or Username?, enter the account email address, or use the phone tab if a phone number is attached, and complete the verification process.
If you have no recovery email or phone number, contact Roblox Support. Roblox may require information to verify ownership. Its password instructions are at I Forgot My Password.
If Roblox flagged a device or modified client
Roblox says modified versions of its app or software that changes how Roblox works can lead to a temporary suspension or permanent ban, particularly when use is repeated. Uninstall unofficial clients, executors, injectors, exploit tools, and other software that alters Roblox. Then reinstall Roblox from the official website or an official app store.

Check the duration in the moderation notice. If the timeout is still active, wait until its stated end time. If it has expired, access may return automatically; Roblox’s Terms indicate that an appeal may no longer be applicable after a short timeout has already lapsed.
If the notice provides an appeal option and you believe the timeout was incorrect, you can appeal within the applicable deadline. Do not assume Support can remove every active timeout immediately.

What not to do
- Do not use a VPN: It does not appeal a moderation decision and may create additional security or access complications.
- Do not make another account: It may be treated as ban evasion and associated accounts may also face enforcement.
- Do not use exploits or modified clients: They can create further moderation or anti-cheat problems.
- Do not pay an “instant unban” provider: There is no legitimate third-party service that can guarantee Roblox will reverse moderation.
- Do not send repeated tickets: Roblox says duplicate appeals are not reviewed.
- Do not share credentials: Never give anyone your password, cookie, 2-Step Verification code, or backup code.
- Do not invent evidence: False hacking claims or fabricated explanations can weaken the appeal.
Frequently asked questions
Can I unban myself without contacting Roblox?
No. A temporary restriction may expire by itself, but an account-level moderation decision can only be challenged through Roblox’s official appeal process.
How long does Roblox take to answer an appeal?
Roblox’s cited appeal guidance does not establish a guaranteed response time. Monitor the official appeal area or the email connected to the account, and do not create duplicate appeals while waiting.
What happens if Roblox denies the appeal?
Roblox says a reviewed moderation action cannot be reviewed again. Do not keep submitting duplicate forms; instead, follow any instructions in the final response and wait for a temporary restriction to end if one applies.
Will Roblox return my Robux or items?
Do not assume that Robux, inventory, or virtual items will be restored. Roblox’s Terms allow consequences that may affect them, and hacked-account recovery or lost-inventory assistance is not guaranteed.
