Drink a bucket of milk to remove the Blindness status effect in Minecraft. Milk clears all active status effects, not just Blindness. If you have permission to use commands, you can clear only Blindness; in Minecraft Education and Bedrock worlds with Education options enabled, eye drops are another option.
Remove Blindness with milk
Use a milk bucket and drink it. The Blindness effect will be removed, but so will any other status effects currently affecting you, including beneficial ones. Milk is the simplest option when you are playing normally and do not mind losing those effects.
Clear only Blindness with a command
In Bedrock Edition, Microsoft documents the /effect clear command. Cheats must be enabled, or you need the appropriate permissions on a server. To clear Blindness from yourself, use:
/effect @s clear blindness
To target another player, replace @s with that player’s name or another valid target selector. The effect-specific form clears only the named effect. See Microsoft’s Bedrock /effect command reference for syntax and target details. Command syntax varies by edition, so do not assume this exact form works in Java Edition.

Use eye drops in Education-enabled worlds
Minecraft Education, and Bedrock Edition with Education options enabled, also supports eye drops to remove Blindness. This option is limited to those configurations; in other worlds, use milk or a permitted command.
What Blindness changes—and what it does not
The player Blindness status effect impairs vision and prevents you from starting a sprint or landing critical hits, though it does not cancel a sprint already in progress. It affects players, not mobs. The Warden is naturally blind and relies on other senses; that is a separate trait, not the player effect.

Blindness is also distinct from the Darkness effect. If your screen looks obscured but clearing Blindness does not help, the visual effect may have another cause. Minecraft’s 26.3 Snapshot 3 notes distinguish status effects from client-side post-effects, but do not provide a separate Blindness-removal method.

If the effect returns just after you clear it, something in the world may be applying it again. Check for a repeating command block, server behavior, or a datapack that reapplies the effect. Clearing the status effect removes what is currently active; it will not stop another source from applying it again.
