How much free space does The Sims 4 need?

These figures come from EA’s system requirements. They tell you how much free disk space EA says to have available; they do not promise that every installed copy will occupy exactly 25 GB or 50 GB.

Why can the installed size vary?
The base game is only part of some players’ installations. Expansion, game, and stuff packs are additional content, and EA explains that the base game should be installed and updated before adding packs. Updates, installed packs, saved games, and custom content can all affect the space used by a particular setup. EA’s pack guide covers installing and managing packs.
EA’s published requirements do not give one universal installed-folder size or a combined figure for every possible combination of packs and user content.

How to check the space The Sims 4 uses on your device
- Install the game and any packs you use.
- Open your computer’s storage manager or locate the game’s installation folder.
- Check the folder or app’s size to see what that specific installation occupies. The number can change as you install packs or add content.
If you are deciding whether you have enough room before installing, use EA’s free-space requirements rather than treating them as the exact final installation size.
