Which enemies drop the Morning Star?
The drop comes from three Armored Bones variants: Blue Armored Bones, Rusty Armored Bones, and Hell Armored Bones. Other Dungeon enemies do not meet the listed drop conditions. The wiki identifies the Morning Star as a Hardmode, post-Plantera item, so the relevant place to hunt for it is the Hardmode Dungeon after Plantera has been defeated. What “1 in 200” means in practice
A 0.5% chance is calculated separately for each eligible kill; it is not a counter that guarantees the drop by the 200th kill. Assuming each kill is an independent chance at the Classic rate, the probability of getting at least one Morning Star is about 39.4% over 100 eligible kills and about 63.3% over 200. These are calculations from the listed drop rate, not separately published game statistics.

That is why both early drops and long dry spells are possible. Each additional eligible kill offers another chance, but previous misses do not make the next kill more likely to drop the weapon.
Practical farming guidance
Farm the post-Plantera Dungeon and focus on the three eligible Armored Bones variants. The drop-rate information establishes which enemies can drop the weapon, but does not establish a tested farm layout or a kills-per-hour figure, so efficiency will depend on your setup and how quickly you encounter those enemies.

Current Morning Star stats and version context
The current Official Terraria Wiki entry lists 160 base damage, 8 tag damage, 10% tag critical strike chance, a 35 use time, and a 5% multihit penalty. Those stats have changed over time: the Desktop 1.4.4 Labour of Love update history records use time falling from 45 to 35, tag damage rising from 5 to 8, and minion critical bonus rising from 5 to 12.
