Call of War rounds can last up to 35 days on small maps, 49 days on medium maps, and 70 days on big maps. Those are usual maximums, not guaranteed match lengths: a player or coalition can win earlier, while speed events and special scenarios may follow different timing.
How long a standard Call of War round can run
The official victory-condition rules give these usual maximum run times by map size:
| Map size | Maximum round length |
|---|---|
| Small | 35 days (five weeks) |
| Medium | 49 days (seven weeks) |
| Big | 70 days (ten weeks) |
The Call of War FAQ describes the week-based limits, and the official victory-conditions rules state the day counts. These are timeouts, not published averages or promises that every round will last that long.
Why a round may end before its maximum
A round can finish early when a player or coalition reaches the applicable victory condition. If nobody wins before the time limit, the ranking when the round times out determines the final placings, according to the official rules.

How real-time days and speed events work
In an ordinary round, one in-game day takes 24 hours in real life. The daychange happens once every 24 hours; its clock time depends on when that particular round began. The game shows a countdown to the next daychange, as explained in the FAQ.
Speed-event rounds are exceptions to the ordinary pace. The FAQ lists event speeds of 2x, 4x, 6x, and 10x regular speed. Scenario event lengths can also deviate from the usual map-size limits. The FAQ has stated that Dominion maps have no time limit, but because special-mode rules can change, check the current round’s information rather than assuming that applies to every Dominion match.

Find the end date for your specific round
- Open the round you want to check.
- Select its Game Info tab and look for the displayed game end date.
- For rounds due to time out, the official rules say an in-game timer appears seven days before the end.
The displayed date is the most useful guide for a particular lobby, especially if it uses special scenario rules. It is still possible for the round to end sooner if someone meets the victory condition.

The Call of War FAQ describes the game as “designed to be played in real time over the course of multiple weeks.” That characterization fits the standard 24-hour day cycle and the several-week maximums, but it does not mean every match lasts the same number of days.
