There is no single price for a PSA 10 Charizard: the value depends first on whether it is the 1999 Base Set Unlimited, Shadowless, or 1st Edition printing. For the commonly meant Base Set Unlimited #4/102, PriceCharting lists a $24,077.50 guide value, while Fanatics Collect shows five 2026 sales ranging from $23,400 to $48,000. Those are different kinds of evidence, and neither applies automatically to the other printings.
Which Charizard printing do you have?
The 1999 Base Set Charizard is commonly identified as card #4, but its print variants trade in distinct markets. Check the card itself and its PSA label: Unlimited, Shadowless, and 1st Edition are not interchangeable descriptions. A PSA 10 grade alone does not identify which market price to use.
- Unlimited: the standard Base Set printing, identified as #4/102.
- Shadowless: an earlier Base Set printing with its own PSA population and price records.
- 1st Edition: the first-edition printing, which has separate and especially volatile sale evidence.
Base Set Unlimited PSA 10 prices
For Unlimited #4/102, PriceCharting lists a $24,077.50 PSA 10 guide value, accessed October 8, 2026. It describes its pricing as based on a proprietary algorithm and completed-sales data; the guide value is not itself one specific transaction.
Fanatics Collect displays five sales dated March through August 2026: $48,000 on March 9, $26,700 on May 22, $23,400 on July 20, $26,750 on August 17, and $27,500 on August 18. The page also shows a $33,000 Card Ladder guide price and a $125,000 buy-now listing. The guide is an estimate, and the listing is an asking price—not evidence that a buyer paid that amount.

Shadowless PSA 10 prices
For the Shadowless #4, PSA CardFacts reports a most recent price of $54,655, a PSA Price of $67,700, and a population of 58, as accessed October 8, 2026. These figures refer to Shadowless, not Unlimited. PSA says its Condition Census is a work in progress and should be used only as a guide; it also cautions that census information can contain errors or omissions and can change as cards are graded or discovered.
1st Edition PSA 10 prices are difficult to reconcile
Available 2026 figures for 1st Edition #4 conflict sharply. A PSA certification page confirms the card’s 1st Edition identity and PSA 10 grade and surfaces a sale of $7,720 dated August 29, 2026. By contrast, PokeArb’s market tracker reports a $462,500 sale dated July 9, 2026, alongside other widely varying 2026 figures.

Those records do not support a dependable single current value without reconciling the individual transactions, including currency and exact card identity. PSA also displays an estimate on the certification page; that estimate is not a completed sale. Do not treat either a certification-page estimate or a tracker figure as a settled market price without checking the underlying record.

- Match the printing. Confirm that the card and PSA label identify Unlimited, Shadowless, or 1st Edition.
- Verify the slab. Check that the PSA certification and grade correspond to the exact card being compared.
- Compare recent completed sales. Use sales for the same printing and PSA grade, and note each sale’s date.
- Separate transactions from estimates and listings. A guide price or an unsold asking price is not proof of what a buyer paid.
- Read population and guide figures as snapshots. PSA notes that its census can change, and its Condition Census is guidance rather than a guaranteed valuation.
Because these prices move and sources report different evidence types, state the variant, date, and whether a figure is a completed sale, guide, estimate, or asking price whenever quoting a value.
