There is no single reliable file size for every Assassin’s Creed game: storage figures vary by platform, edition, updates and included content. The official figures available for comparison here cover five PC listings, not the whole series, and they describe required storage space rather than measured install-folder sizes.
How much space do these Assassin’s Creed games need on PC?
The table reports each source’s published storage figure as stated; it does not rank measured installations. The listings do not consistently identify whether DLC, high-resolution assets or language packs are included.
| Game and listing | Published storage figure | SSD information | Source and date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (PC) | 46 GB available hard drive space | Not stated in the cited requirement | Ubisoft PC requirements announcement; publication date not exposed in the retrieved result |
| Assassin’s Creed Origins (PC requirements) | 75 GB available storage | Not stated in the cited requirement | Ubisoft Help; publication date not exposed in the retrieved result |
| Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (PC, launch specifications) | 50 GB | SSD recommended | Ubisoft, October 14, 2020 |
| Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (current Ubisoft Store PC listing) | 160 GB HDD | SSD recommended | Ubisoft Store listing; accessed October 8, 2026 |
| Assassin’s Creed Shadows (Steam listing) | 115 GB available space | SSD required | Steam technical support listing; accessed October 8, 2026 |
Why do published sizes differ?
Required space is not the same as installed size
A system requirement tells you how much free storage a listing says to have available. It is not necessarily a measurement of the game’s installed files, and the figures above are not a controlled comparison of installations. Updates and optional content can also affect what a particular player downloads.
Platform, edition and date matter
These examples are PC requirements or PC storefront listings. They do not establish the size of a PlayStation, Xbox or other platform version, nor do they specify every edition or content bundle. Requirements can also change: Ubisoft’s October 2020 Valhalla PC specifications list 50 GB, while its current Store PC listing says 160 GB on an HDD. The sources reviewed do not explain the difference, so neither figure should be silently substituted for the other.

How much storage should you set aside?
Use the requirement for the exact platform and storefront where you plan to install the game, and check it again before downloading. Treat “available space” as free capacity to reserve, not a guaranteed final folder size. If a listing recommends or requires an SSD, follow that condition for that particular listing; it is not a series-wide rule.
- For Odyssey PC, the cited Ubisoft requirement is 46 GB available hard drive space.
- For Origins PC, Ubisoft Help lists 75 GB available storage.
- For Valhalla PC, consult the listing you intend to use: the launch article states 50 GB, while the current Ubisoft Store listing states 160 GB on an HDD.
- For Shadows on Steam, the listing calls for 115 GB available space and requires an SSD.
Is this the file size of every Assassin’s Creed game?
No. Consistent official figures were not established for every mainline entry, spin-off, mobile title, remaster, collection, DLC bundle and platform. The figures in the table are a limited set of official PC examples; they cannot be added together to give a definitive storage estimate for the entire franchise. A complete collection total would first need a defined list of games and editions, matched platform versions, and decisions about add-ons and duplicate content.
