Kennedy is 21 in Resident Evil 2, the only exact age stated in the official Capcom material cited here. Capcom dates later appearances to 2002, autumn 2004 and June 2013, but those dates do not establish Leon’s exact age in those games.
Leon’s age in each Resident Evil game
| Game or appearance | Story date | What is known about Leon’s age |
|---|---|---|
| Resident Evil 2 (original and remake setting) | September 29, 1998 | 21. Capcom’s reference says Leon was “only twenty one” during the events of RE2. The retrieved material does not give a separate age for the remake. Capcom’s RE2 character reference; Capcom’s chronology. |
| Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles — Operation Javier | 2002 | No exact age is stated in the retrieved Capcom character reference. It identifies the mission as occurring in 2002, but that date alone does not settle his age relative to his birthday. Capcom’s Leon profile. |
| Resident Evil 4 | Autumn 2004 | No exact age is stated in the retrieved official material. Capcom’s chronology places the story six years after the events in Raccoon City; that interval is not itself a directly stated age. Capcom’s chronology. |
| Resident Evil 6 | June 2013 | No exact age is stated in the retrieved official material. Capcom confirms the setting and Leon’s role, not an age on the cited page. Capcom’s chronology. |
| Other or newer game appearances | Not established here | The cited official pages do not provide enough information to give a complete, exact-age list. |
Why later ages are not exact answers
A game’s story year and Leon’s age in an earlier game are not enough to calculate his birthday-relative age later. Unless an official source states his age in that specific story, a number derived from chronology should be labeled an estimate, not a confirmed Capcom figure. Capcom’s official game catalog identifies the series titles, but does not fill that age gap.
