Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →To pitch an indie game to PlayStation, first register your studio through PlayStation Partners and submit a concise Project Plan. If Sony approves the registration and you sign its Global Developer and Publisher Agreement (GDPA), you can access developer resources and submit the specific game through the PlayStation Independent Partner Title Form. That submission makes the title eligible for consideration for support; it does not guarantee selection, funding, promotion, or a publishing deal.
How the PlayStation game submission process works
1. Register your studio and submit a Project Plan
Sony’s April 7, 2026 guide, “Showing your Game to PlayStation”, says developers start by registering through PlayStation Partners. The registration asks for basic studio information and a short Project Plan—an elevator pitch, not a full game bible.
Sony says the plan should explain:
- Who: the team and its vision.
- What: the game.
- When: the intended release timing.
- Where: the planned launch regions.
- Why: what makes the game matter and sets it apart.
- How: the gameplay, core features, style, visuals, and overall feel.
A useful way to organize those answers is to open with the game’s playable hook, then show how the team, audience, and release plan support it. That is practical pitch advice based on Sony’s requested topics, not a published scoring rubric.
2. Wait for approval and sign the GDPA
Registration approval and signing the GDPA come before access to PlayStation’s developer ecosystem, including tools, publishing resources, documentation, and dedicated Help Center support. Sony directs approved partners to Help Center > Documentation and suggests searching for “indies” to find its detailed “Indies Tips” material.

3. Submit the specific game
Once registered as a partner, submit the title through the PlayStation Independent Partner Title Form. Sony says this form helps route a game to internal teams that look for standout experiences to support in areas such as editorial, digital events, and social. Complete the form fully and accurately so reviewers can understand the game.
4. Treat submission as consideration, not a deal
Sony says it receives many submissions for a limited number of support opportunities and that selection is not guaranteed. It also notes that a formal partnership deal is not required for many indie success stories or PlayStation highlights. The form is not described as a funding application, guaranteed marketing commitment, or publishing contract. Registration, keeping PlayStation updated, and communicating well may help create opportunities, but do not ensure support.

What should you prepare for a PlayStation pitch?
For the initial Project Plan, focus on the six areas Sony names: team, game, release timing, launch regions, differentiation, and gameplay. Make each answer specific enough to convey the experience and its intended audience, without turning the first submission into a full game bible.
A 2021 Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan guide, “How to Pitch Your Game to PlayStation,” offered examples of materials such as a short game description, team history, title images, concept art, in-engine design images, music, gameplay video, B-roll, and engine captures. These are historical examples, not established requirements for the current registration form. Check the live portal instructions before preparing or uploading extra materials.

Game pitches and PlayStation hardware proposals use different routes
A developer pitching a game title and a company proposing a PlayStation-licensed accessory are seeking different kinds of review. Sony’s Official Licensing Program covers hardware and accessories; it is not the game-title submission route.
| Proposal | Who and what | Route | What may be considered |
|---|---|---|---|
| Independent game | A game studio and a specific title | PlayStation Partners registration, then the PlayStation Independent Partner Title Form | Potential support opportunities for the game |
| Licensed hardware or accessory | A company and a peripheral or accessory concept | Sony’s Official Licensing Program | Concept review; concepts invited forward may proceed to development and final approval |
What Sony does not specify publicly
Sony’s April 2026 public guide does not state the exact live form fields, a review timeline, whether every applicant receives a response, or a scoring rubric. Approved partners can consult the current PlayStation Partners Help Center for instructions available inside the portal.
