To add a phone number, sign in to the Ubisoft account you want to update, then open Ubisoft Connect > Account Information and follow the phone-number association option and verification prompts shown there. Ubisoft’s published guidance gives this route, but the live account page may change and Ubisoft does not document every current button label or screen.
Steps to link your phone number

Go to account.ubisoft.com and sign in to the Ubisoft account that should have the number.

Open Account Information in Ubisoft Connect.

Why Ubisoft may require a linked number
One documented reason is Rainbow Six Siege competitive play. Ubisoft lists phone-number association among the PC requirements for competitive modes, including Ranked access. This is a game- and platform-specific requirement; it does not mean every Ubisoft account needs a linked phone number for all Ubisoft services.

Ubisoft’s US Terms of Use, updated January 26, 2026, say the company may verify telephone numbers and email addresses to help protect minors, prevent fraud, and keep the community safe. The terms also allow Ubisoft to restrict access to certain features when contact information does not meet its community-protection standards or for other security reasons.

Phone-number association and 2-Step verification are separate account actions. Ubisoft lists them separately in its Rainbow Six Siege PC competitive-mode requirements, and its account-security guidance recommends enabling 2-Step verification. Linking a phone does not, by itself, establish that 2-Step verification is enabled or that the linked number will be used as its verification method.
If you cannot add or verify the number

Confirm that you signed into the Ubisoft account you intend to update, then reopen Account Information through Ubisoft Connect or account.ubisoft.com.

If the option is unavailable or verification fails, use Ubisoft Help for account support.
