You can no longer battle the featured Shiny Wo-Chien raid: the five-star event ended on August 3, 2025. It featured a Grass Tera Type and ran in both Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. A later official announcement said Shiny Wo-Chien would be distributed through Mystery Gift, but the available information does not establish whether that claim period is still open. No return date or currently available alternative method is confirmed.
Can you still get Shiny Wo-Chien?
As of October 8, 2026, the 2025 five-star raid is over. The Pokémon Company International said the featured shiny might return in a future event or become obtainable through other methods, but that statement was a possibility, not a schedule or confirmation of a current method. Check official Pokémon announcements for any later availability.
A separate follow-up announced a Mystery Gift distribution after the event. It does not establish that the gift can still be redeemed now, so do not assume that an old distribution is claimable. The official Pokédex lists Wo-Chien as No. 1001 and gives it the ability Tablets of Ruin: Wo-Chien | Pokédex.
When the Shiny Wo-Chien raid ran
The limited-time event was available in both games from July 22, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT through August 3, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. It was a five-star Tera Raid featuring a Shiny Wo-Chien with Grass as its Tera Type. The Pokémon Company International’s event announcement gives the schedule and encounter details.

How players accessed the event at the time
During the event, players could challenge the raid after completing the main story, or join a five-star raid hosted by another Trainer in multiplayer. To refresh the featured raid information, the official instructions were to open X menu → Poké Portal → Mystery Gift → Check Poké Portal News. Checking Poké Portal News was how players found featured raids; it does not bring back an expired event.
How to prepare for the Grass Tera Raid
The official event announcement describes the encounter as a difficult cooperative raid against the clock, with three other Trainers. Because the available official details do not provide a verified Wo-Chien counter build, move set, or turn-by-turn strategy, there is no evidence-based specific team recommendation to give here.

What the event’s victory announcement said
In its August 7, 2025 follow-up, The Pokémon Company International reported 6,078,885 total player victories. It announced a Mystery Gift distribution for Shiny Wo-Chien and described bonus Tera Shard rewards for players who exceeded the first million victories: up to 10 sets, each containing 10 Grass, 10 Bug, 10 Poison, and 10 Fairy Tera Shards.
