To beat Before Truth, investigate each room, read the clues you find, and use them to solve the puzzles rather than relying on a code copied from someone else. The kitchen keypad in Chapter 1 is described by an unofficial fan guide as having a variable answer, so find the clue in your own game. This is a Roblox horror investigation by Johnpcps, powered by Eagle Studios; its official listing frames Chapter 1 around a detective investigating a mysterious disappearance or murder and Chapter 2 as a continuation of the mystery.
How to make progress in Chapter 1
- Search the room before leaving. Check drawers, papers, and other interactive objects. Read notes carefully: they may provide information needed for a later puzzle. The unofficial Before Truth Wiki guide specifically points to a bathroom drawer paper as a clue for the kitchen keypad.
- Use the clue from your own session on the kitchen keypad. The fan guide says the keypad answer varies. Look for the paper clue and follow what it says; a fixed code from another player’s video or lobby may not work for you.
- Track items and revisit blocked routes. The same guide mentions keys, a screwdriver, vents, and papers as elements of its Chapter 1 route. If you find an item or note that seems relevant to an inaccessible area, remember it and check that area again when you have new information or a tool.
- Use a walkthrough only when needed. WynShyn published a full Chapter 1 playthrough on May 15, 2022. It can serve as a route reference, but an older video may not match later game changes. Prefer explanations that point you to clues over a code with no context.
What to expect in Chapter 2
The official Before Truth Chapter 2 Roblox listing describes the detective as getting closer to solving the mystery. The available sources do not establish a complete, current room-by-room solution for Chapter 2, so follow the clues and puzzle logic in your own game rather than relying on an unverified full route.
Game premise and source limits
Roblox’s Before Truth listing identifies Johnpcps as the creator and says the game is powered by Eagle Studios. It describes Chapter 1 as a detective investigating a case involving a mysterious disappearance or murder, with Chapter 2 continuing that investigation. The keypad advice comes from an unofficial fan guide, not developer documentation; confirm the clue and answer in-game.
