Level 40 is a pink maze, not a trivia question. On desktop, activate the first red dot, then cross the pink gap while holding the mouse button or with the right-click context menu open. Reach the second red dot and click it. On the documented iOS version, keep one finger on the first dot while using another finger to touch the second.

How to beat Level 40 on desktop

  1. Move the pointer to the red dot on the left and click it to reveal the maze. The two white circles are the start and destination; avoid touching the pink area during ordinary movement. The level walkthrough describes the maze and its controls.

  2. Use one of the hinted ways to cross the pink gap: hold down the mouse button as you move the pointer, or right-click to open the browser or game context menu and move across the pink while that menu is open. The menu acts as the “bridge” in the clue, “Hmm… If only you had a bridge.” GamesButler’s walkthrough also identifies the right-click menu as the route across.

  3. Move to the second red dot, dismiss the context menu if you used it, and click the destination. The exact interaction may depend on the game port and whether its window allows the context menu to remain open.

How to beat Level 40 on iOS

The documented iOS walkthrough uses two fingers rather than a mouse bridge. Tap the first dot to reveal the maze, then keep one finger pressed on it while placing a second finger on the destination dot. Do not lift the first finger before the second reaches the other button; the walkthrough says releasing it costs a life. This instruction comes from a GameFAQs walkthrough updated May 11, 2010, so treat it as guidance for that documented iOS version, not every mobile port: GameFAQs iOS walkthrough.

Why the “bridge” clue is confusing

The instruction “Don’t touch pink!” makes the screen look like a conventional maze, but the bottom clue points to an input workaround. On desktop, the held mouse button or open right-click menu lets the pointer cross the pink area; on the documented iOS version, the equivalent is keeping the first finger down while using a second. The hint and maze layout are shown in the level-specific walkthrough.

Where Level 40 fits in the game

CrazyGames describes The Impossible Quiz as a browser game playable on desktop and mobile, originally released online as a Flash game in 2007 and re-released in HTML5 in 2019. These dates are CrazyGames’ descriptions, not independently verified release records. Its listing also describes 110 questions, three lives, and seven skips, with all seven skips needed for Question 110; those are listing-level details and are not established here for every port. See CrazyGames’ game listing.
