Scorpionlord is an optional Chapter 4 boss in the Secret: Purple Cloud Mountain area. Beat him at Bounds of Deity’s Abode before entering Duskveil’s arena: crossing into that arena makes him disappear for the rest of the playthrough. In the fight, focus on dodging his timed tail combo one hit at a time, clearing poison quickly, and using burst abilities during a controlled opening.
Find Scorpionlord and start the fight
Unlock Chapter 4’s Secret: Purple Cloud Mountain by progressing the Venom Daoist quest, then travel to the Bounds of Deity’s Abode. Scorpionlord is perched on a rooftop there. Approach and speak with him, then break the kegs beneath the roof to make him hostile and begin the encounter. Do not enter Duskveil’s arena first
Defeat Scorpionlord before crossing into Duskveil’s arena. PowerPyx warns that entering the arena makes Scorpionlord disappear for that playthrough, so treat the arena threshold as the point of no return for this optional fight.
Prepare for poison and fast attacks
PowerPyx recommends spending a few attempts learning Scorpionlord’s timing before using medicines or committing to a full damage attempt. For a serious run, its suggested consumables are Enhanced Tiger Subduing Pellets for attack, Amplification Pellets for critical chance, and Antimiasma Powder to cure poison. Put the poison cure somewhere easy to access. These are guide recommendations, not a universally optimal build.

Recognize the attacks that cause the most trouble
Five-hit tail sequence
The frequent tail combo is a timed series of five hits, and it can inflict poison. Dodge each strike deliberately rather than repeatedly mashing dodge; a poorly timed string of evasions can leave you exposed to the next hit.
Glowing claw
When Scorpionlord’s claw glows gold, PowerPyx says he is about to strike the ground. Dodge backward to get clear.

Burrow and emergence
Watch for distortion in the ground to track where he will surface. Move or dodge as he emerges, then stay alert: the guide warns that a tail grab can follow the burrow attack.
Poison and healing
Use Antimiasma Powder promptly when poisoned. If you need to heal after taking damage, create some distance first, but do not retreat for too long: Scorpionlord can punish an extended retreat with a ranged tail attack.

Use burst abilities during a controlled opening
PowerPyx’s damage-focused plan combines Pluck of Many, Immobilize, and a Wandering Wight Spirit attack. It is a suggested sequence rather than a required build; if you are still learning the moves, use practice attempts to improve your dodges before spending these resources.
- Summon Pluck of Many early. Let Scorpionlord’s opening swipes miss while your duplicates draw his attention.
- Close in and use Immobilize. Follow with the Wandering Wight Spirit attack at close range, then continue with quick attacks while the clones keep pressuring him.
- Adapt when the clones disappear. Use Transformation, then Cloud Step to close the distance and resume attacking.
Scorpionlord’s rewards
PowerPyx lists 2,589 Will, Refined Iron Sand, Sky-Piercing Horn, Gold Tree Core, Mind Core, and the Stained Jade Gourd as rewards for defeating him. The guide describes the gourd as having seven healing charges and greatly increased drinking speed.
