What you need before collecting the figures
This is a side Easter Egg in Liberty Falls, separate from the Aetherella laser trap at Olly’s Comics. You need the Jet Gun, which you can craft during the match, because its vacuum effect collects the figures. Call of Duty’s Liberty Falls showcase describes the town’s Aetherella standee as a trap that fires a laser; the collectible hunt uses the Jet Gun to trigger a transformation instead.
Where to find all nine Aetherella figures
There are four figures inside Olly’s Comics and five elsewhere in Liberty Falls. Aim the Jet Gun at each one and vacuum it up. The four comic-shop figures can be collected in any order; continue through the locations below until you have all nine.
Olly’s Comics: four figures
- Near the shop entrance.
- Beside the large Aetherella statue.
- On a shelf by the paintings.
- By the exit, at a boarded-up window.
Outside the comic shop: five figures
- Church: In a window above the entrance.
- Flower-store area: In a window near the trap machine.
- Liberty Lanes: Under the second “L” in the sign. View it from the bus roof.
- Motel: Above the “M” on the Motel sign near spawn.
- Ice Cream Store: Above the store. To see it, reach a roof from the bank area.
How to trigger the transformation and unlock World Domination
- Use the Jet Gun to collect figures until you have picked up the ninth one. The final pickup triggers the Aetherella transformation.
- While transformed, aim the laser at a zombie and eliminate it. The guide reports that a laser kill triggers the World Domination achievement or trophy.
What to know in co-op
Insider Gaming’s walkthrough reports that the transformation lasts for an entire round and that, in co-op, the achievement goes only to the player who collected the figures. Other players should not expect to unlock it simply by being present when the laser kill happens. These are guide-reported gameplay details.
